I hope there are some fooball questions when Tan & Woody interview HC candidates. This "brain trust" thinks they can build a future around a 40yr old QB who's old team was so convinced he was over that they were willing to pay him $20M to stay OFF THE FIELD! The best HC candidates are still in the playoffs, not the guys who lost. Do you think the brain trust knows this? We need toughness on the field. When you think of Pitt, Philly, Balt, NE, Bills, even Bucs you think tough. Think of the Jets and you get nothing, like an East Coast version of the Broncos but w/o a QB. Rex looks like a Parcells clone, knows players, runs the 3-4 and has family ties to the Jets. Forget the polish, get Ryan and lets play some football.

Agreed. Statements like,“Offensive coordinator Brian Schottenheimer has allies in the organization - the most important being general manager Mike Tannenbaum - and he is being strongly considered” are concerning. Although the team had a glimpse of being a good defense against the Titans, that was one game. Ryan and Spags have multiple whole seasons of great defensive teams. If the go with Schottenheimer because Tan & Woody “like” him, they might as well throw the next 3 years in the toilet until they fire him. Clean house for the most part to get rid of the stink. They’ll have to play a harder 9-7 based schedule next year, not a 4-12 based schedule like this year.

Trust the Jets brass to drop the ball on this one. They will stay passive (losing Spagnuolo on the way), while supposedly waiting for Ryan to free up. Then they will announce the next H.C. of the NY Jets - Brian Shottenheimer. I have said this all along. Mr. T is too insecure to hire a coach with a strong personality and will go with 'yes-man' Shotty. get ready for a LONG next 3 years until both Mr. T and Shotty get the boot from Woody. Then we can start ALL OVER AGAIN.

The Jets are cursed it doesn't matter who they get to coach they'll never win. They'd be better off sitting out of the nfl a few years, essentially they have been for decades. No quaterback for forty years,no wonder they've not been back to the superbowl.Woody J is clueless,if he started J&J we wouldnt have bandaids today,he's a trust fund kid. Hire Joe Pa and let him sit atop the Empire State Building calling plays,it couldnt hurt.Isles need new ownership or fold.

Brett isnt the only QB to throw a few picks.
I want him back next year.
I enjoyed this season much more than the past few seasons and Brett was the reason.
We can win with Farve and a good coach!

Ahh, the question mark headline. An old classic. You can put anything there. So you don't really know if Ryan is ahead of Spags, but by putting the question mark at the end, you can use that headline and make it sound like you've got more of a story than you do.

Daily Horoscope for December 24

Gemini

It's a busy day and you've got quite enough to do without having to cope with people clamoring for your attention and likely to go into a huff if they don't get it. Is this person feeling neglected because you're busily occupied elsewhere or are there other reasons for their demanding mood? Simply giving them a big hug could make all the difference to their behavior.
