Does anyone find it strange how cheap the Pats gave up Cassel/Vrabel. Almost like the Pats gave Pioli a going away present, huh? I anticipated they would get more than that to be honest. Perhaps the market was not as high as everyone thought.

Yeah I agree with that. I was thinking they would come away with KC's first round pick #3 over all.
But it does clear alot of cap room and my be a sign of future things to come. Ray Lewis is still out there as a free agent.

They franchised an unproven backup QB with limited success in a proven offensive system. No WAY Cassel was going to fetch 2 #1's.

This was all orchestrated between the coach and his old GM.

The depths of cheating that this man (now these men) will go to is ASTOUNDING.

Hopefully Goodell will come down hard to protect the intent of the franchise tag, as Belicheat has just rubbed his nose in doo doo once again!

Let's face the facts here...Belichick is the greatest coach/visionary in the NFL (probably in the last 50 years)...the players rally around him and whatever staff he has in place. This new team (with Brady back) will be devastating regardless...
