I wish Sapp would retire and start Kelly Sands Burgess and Brayton up front and rotate Hawthorne, Moses, Huntley, Richardson, and another Tackle if we could get one.

Hey TexasRaider ... hows things with you?
You can add Lauvale Sape into the DT mix, the raiders have signed him as a FA from Buffalo.

Hey TexasRaider how long do you want to wait for Tyler Brayton to come along he has been a stiff ever since draft day. I cannot believe he is still drwaing a paycheck.

He has been going through the same as Gallery ever since he was drafted. He was all right as an outside linebacker in the 3-4 but Sapp's big mouth and inabilaty to perform in the 3-4 is the reason they went back to the 4-3. Brayton seems to be more the type that plays the run better than pass rush. With the drafting of Quinten Moses and Jay Richardson and Brayton possibly becoming a free agent at the end of next year I believe this season could be do or die for him not to mention the fact that last season his back up had 2 sacks and he didn't have any mostly because he was rotated out on passing downs. He will get back in shape and prove that he is still a man beast. I'd really hate to see him go because he is a prime example of what "professional" football players should be despite his incident with Jeremy Stephens last year. However he did appologize to his team for misrepresenting them and professional football. He has bled silver and black ever since being drafted and has remained loyal to the organization ever since despite all the hard times.

You want Sapp to retire? What didin't you like, his double digit sack total last year or that he is so enthused about the upcoming season that he lost 50lbs.

I agree with Joe, he hasn't given us much reason to not like him. As long as he is producing for us and not bad for the locker room them I am on Sapp's side.

I'm thinking that Sapp and Sands will be two angry and talented monsters in the middle this season. Sapp had pro-bowl numbers last year, and Sands is ready to have a break-out season. I am so jacked to watch this already stellar defense become freakish this year, I can't tell you! Happy Fourth of July our American friends! Cheers!

Thank you! And I agree on Saap and Sands...it should be a good year, I am hoping for an over .500 season...if our Offense stars clicking we will be dangerous....

I never have liked him even when he was running his mouth in TB. He couldn't perform well in Rob Ryan's initial 3-4 scheme and whined about it all season long and finally got his way the next year when Ryan went to a 4-3. Yet at the same time youngsters Tommy Kelly, Terdell Sands, Tyler Brayton, and Grant Irons seemed to be playing quite well in it at various positions; especially Kelly at NT, DE and LB. They gave Sapp way too big of a contract. They didn't need to learn from Sapp they had Ted Washington at the time who lead by example and just took the field and played hard and didn't complain. I really think Sapp is holding some young talent back. I think the DL will be great with Brayton Sands Kelly and Burgess as the front 4.

I will say this on behalf of Sapp...As long as he is producing good numbers and the rest of the defense is producing high numbers he's the best defensive leader.

Sapp struggled in the 3-4. ok. Now he's in a system that best fits him. And he has produced. The overall defense has taken it up several notches. Perhaps the 3-4 was/is the wrong defense for our personnel. As for holding back young talent, Brayton sucks and I think Grant Irons wasn't even re-signed.

They did pretty good in the 3-4 as a team. Warren Sapp didn't do good in it as a player. I don't think it's right to suck up to one player over a whole team. Brayton showed good potential his first couple of years. They just kept moving him around instead of letting him settle into a position. I thought he was a pretty good OLB in the 3-4 plus was able to play DE as well. Sapp was the only guy that didn't play well int he 3-4 and they changed for him when the rest of the team did pretty well in it?

Daily Horoscope for December 23

Virgo

Words are flying around in all directions today, and the conversations will be fast and furious. You might face a lot of distractions and interruptions, or you could get caught up in some rather irritable slanging matches with a certain person. The busier you are, the more fraught you'll become and the more likely to go off the deep end.
