If You change his responsibility to match his abilities he's in the top 5 as a MLB. Sorry, but have to agree with SHawn, You do not trade him at all.

I do.n't count how many things I know but I do know that it is so idiotic of you to have already declared this the best offseason in Bears history.the offseason is usually measured when the season ends not before it has even started

Sweet34, thanks for maturely disagreeing. This season will give me the opportunity to eat my words, which I'd be happy to do.
Sam, you're 100% correct. Until at least week 5, there is no way to measure how effective management's moves will be.

The story is the Bears are happy not to spend the money signing two first round picks but would rather trade them away and get a good player found by a team with a competent general manager who can draft and a coach who knows what he was doing (shanahan). The story is 6 years of Grossman and bad draft choices, Angelo is a hero when he admits he can't do his job and just trades his high picks away instead of wasting them on projects, the infirmed, and the not interested in football. It isn't so much that Angelo and Lovie were fooled, it is they were so busy fooling the team owners and fans that they knew what they were doing, they also fooled themselves. Lovie should go to Texas with Rex. Angelo should go back to Tampa Bay and do more studies of how to draft an NFL quarterback or have one fall into your lap when stupidity meets cheapness and makes a trade.

OK, there is probably several lines of fans amongst us Bear fans. Those over 50,(that can relate to all past and present players including Butkus and Sayers and more).
The next level, those fans maybe 10-16 years old in 1985,( they can relate to a SB title and players like SIngletary, HAmpton, and Sweetness).
And then there's the rest of the fans, those not knowing much of those era's.
I think that is what separates our feelings and attitudes relating to posts.
Since Sweet34 is one of Those 9 years old in 1963 he feels this is a great offseason. It's been too long not having stability at QB.
This offseason has to be at the very least in the top 3 in over the last 60 years.
The other being 1981; we drafted Keith Van Horne and Singletary.
And the next great offseason would be drafting of Butkus and Sayers in 1965.
And those in the know, understand the years of failure, and know the names of failures here ... STan Thomas, Spellman, John Theirry,Salaam, John Allred, Cade McNown, Ram the Enis, Columbo, David Terrell, Haynes, Benson, heck, half the Angelo draft era draft choices are gone.
So, yea, for those of us that have waited and waited, I think it's a great offseason ... and we look to be good for several yeats if not several several .... Cutler is only 25 ... build him an O-line, keep setting the pace Defensively, have a great RB, and we're set BEBE !!!
all you ney sayers ... go whine elsewhere.

I'm afraid the dude's right. If the shoe fits...Be proud to be yourself if your an idiot be the best idiot you can be. BTW the Bears are a SB contender RIGHT NOW nothing to rebuild. They are ready Who's better in the NFC the Vikes with Farve, the Giants? Plus I'd like you tell 54 he's washed up to his face, you wouldnt youd be starstruck asking for an autograph telling him your his biggest fan since his was with the Lobos. Be Real
