Enough of Dick Jauron and Marv Levy. They're fired, and the entire staff(save Bobby April).

A new coach/GM search is ongoing, with these names for consideration:

-Mike Sherman
-Marty Schottenheimer
-Bill Cowher

A final announcement is soon to come.

I don't think you can call it a quarterback controversy because JP Losman is NOT GOOD...Edwards has shown more skill and poise in two games then Losman has ever. Sorry, but I want a quarterback that can complete a pass.
As for the coaches, take a risk, do something different, mix it up. Would it have killed the Bills to make an offer to Michael Turner?
Going back to JP Losman after the bye is just absolutely dumb, Edwards has earned the job.

Great article. Shows complete understanding of the Bills situation without emotion. Since neither QB has put up points, I don't think a starter can lose his position due to injury.

Also, after the first drive in the NE game, the play calling became conservative and it appears that when we do that it doesn't matter who is under center.

We all know that Lee Evans is a stud and neither QB has been able to take advantage of it.

Despite what JP did last season he still never showed that he is the franchise qb. There were still the many errors and misreads that he is good for every game. I have supported JP since he got here but it is quite clear to me that Trent has a MUCH bigger upside. After only two games, Trent has shown things that JP doesn't; poise, the ability to quickly read defenses, and the ability to go through his progressions and find the right receiver. JP has never been able to read defenses well, he locks on to receivers, and has little pocket poise or presence. Trent reminds me of the elite quartebacks in the NFL early in their careers. Either you have IT or you don't and you can see IT in Trent. It's time to start winning again and a star qb is sorely needed. Let Trent develop for the rest of the year and I'm sure we'll win a few games along the way. Next season, he'll be ready to go, everyone will be back from injury (except Everett, get well soon), and the Bills will have a legitimate chance to make the playoffs. Avoid any controversy and trade JP now to one of the teams that needs a qb and get a good draft pick(s) for him.

Hey Ed you talk out of both sides of your mouth. Werent you 100% in for Edwards last week?
Heres my point for today... 3 reasons why JP will start in baltimore.

I dug up old tapes of Frank Reich and found that he and Edwards look very much the same. Its interesting to note that the gameplan looked exactly the same.

Poise is perfect... for a backup QB A-LA Frank Reich but Swagger is what JP has. And thats what you want. Jim Kelly had Swagger.

2nd Point. The offence play calling has changed since JP was hurt. Id like to think that it was changed for the NE game but was disrupted when he was hurt.

Heres a final thought. JP has a bigger arm and more mobility. JP would have comppleted that pass on the 11 to Lee.

Edwards may be the future but we need to make sure JP isnt the stud we thought he would be.

Edward has had the benefit of a much better O line than JP ever had.

Am i the only one that thinks Dallas is overated?
The combined record for Dallas oponents is 6-19 including two 0-5 teams, Chicago who is horrible and 1-4 buffalo. The opponents for the bills? 17-8. I cant wait for NE to destroy Dallas this week.

Back to my point. Trent has not played well against anyone of consequence. He dink and dunked his way to 3 points against Dallas. Take away the 6 turnovers and the game would have been 42-3.

You heared it here 1st. Jp will come out on fire against Baltimore.

I agree with this article, though I think we do need to consider a new offensive coordinator if the situation doesn't improve immediately. There are other teams out there with far less talent scoring more points. Look at TN, aside from V Young...who else do they have that commands attention...

I wouldn't mind any of the coaches mentioned above save for Sherman. I always liked Marty. He got screwed in San Diego...

i hope the bills leave this area.. that would be awesome.. we have the sabres and unlike the bills they can make things happen.. we should just scrap the idea of having a football team that is going to go anywhere because the bills suck and they always have sucked..

Are you kidding? First of all do you know how much LOCAL revenue is generated by having a football team? Secondly, are you old enough to remember the Kelly days? They certainly did not always suck.

Do you really believe the hype about all the revenue generated.

The problem with the revenue is that it goes to the same places over and over. So some get very rich, but all the taxpayers pay.

Just wait for ole Ralphie to kick the bucket and watch all the revenue you speak of go to some other city and we will have a hugh white elephant of a stadium with a 5 million dollar scoreboard.

Maybe we can get Bass Pro to build a mega store in the stadium.

Ed Kilgore just LOVES JP Losman and coach **** jauron.

Maybe Ch.2 should FIRE Ed Kilgore. It's obvious that the guy is without a clue.

Ed just LOVED the Bills last 3 QB's and we all know how they turned out.

Maybe Ed had something going on with QB Rob Johnson because he's still a fan of his. What's Rob doing now? Selling car insurance? lol

If Ed says that 'He's got all the tools for a Buffalo Bills QB", that's the kiss of death.

Go see Ed's As I see it column. What a joke.

Hey JP, clean up on aisle 5. Why don't you swagger on over there and clean up that spilled jar of pickles.

Ed,

Glad to see you there is a least one Buffalo reporter with half a brain. Losman gets the nod - if nothing else his trade value increases with good play. Additionally, getting the ball to Evans has to be a priority. If we keep screwing around with a rookie QB and a Junior Varsity game plan Lee will be catching the next flight out. I just hope our scholarly GM and Ivy League coach are smart enough to figure that out.

"I just hope our scholarly GM and Ivy League coach are smart enough..."

They don't have the cojones to get it done when it counts. Thus, they're fired.

Bring us a coach/GM who may not be so scholarly, but who have the guts to get it done when it matters.

I think you have to play Losman.... The team is playing well and a couple of wins will increase Losmans trade value...If the team loses a few games ,No real change in his value...Trent Edwards is the futureof the Buffalo Bills. Invest in your future!

The short memories are astounding!! Playing Losman is the smart way to go. You can always go back to Edwards if need be, but people saying he's looked better than JP ever has? Did you even WATCH last year? How about his 328 yards vs. the Jets, brilliant game against the Texans, and an efficient win vs. a good Jax team?

JP got the job over Holcomb in the first place because the threat of the big play is more important than a few short checkdown passes. Now because of a couple bad games against superior defenses (due in part to bad gameplans, dropped passes, and a couple missed blocks) he's terrible? Riiiiggghht.

Yes, I agree. I have thought for years that Ed has half a brain. The only rason they keep him on the station is that he agrees to pay cuts. They can't fire him! He just keeps showing up.
