Michael Vick is a "good guy" huh? Roddy,if you are that ignorant and cold blooded to consider someone who has been starving, torturing, drowning, hanging, electrocuting, fighting, and beating to death dogs for the last six years as a "good guy", I hope the Falcons get rid of your @ss too.

I can't imagine you calling that sadistic and savage monster a "good guy" and am wondering what in the world would you consider to be a "bad guy"?

mike vick probably is a good guy and because of the culture he was raised in thought that fighting dogs was cool and whether your dog was tough or not determined your status on the streets, he is now serving his time. if you havent walked in his shoes then all you have are opinions, redardless of how you think he should have acted you were not brought up the way he was and because of that you cant say what you would or would not do in his shoes. Once again he now knows for sure it was wrong, believe it or not some people believe "they are just dogs." I am glad someone like roody white is staying loyal to MV it shows his true character. yes he is going to probably take some heat for doing so but maybe this sentence is what MV needs to throw away the punks that hung around when the money was still flowing in and realize that, that crowd and those influences were what got him to where he is today ...JAIL!

I'm a little cynical, as you know. But, as someone once said, the one good thing about jail is that you have plenty of time to think, without distraction. Vick has to consider whether the buzz of the activity is worth sitting in a cell, for a couple of years. The NEXT arrest would entail a longer sentence. And, is the buzz worth 130M? Most people would say no.

I don't think sadists can change. They, can avoid the activity, however. I also don't think that a bad background is an excuse for bad behavior in an adult, who knows the activity is illegal and unacceptable.

But, I have occasionally been happily surprised by being wrong.

How can you or anyone else call Mike Vick a "good guy? You seem to find every excuse there is to defend him, like his background, his thug friends, etc., etc. He knew damn well what he was doing and to top that, HE ENJOYED TORTURING ANIMALS AND HEARING THEIR SCREAMS AS THEY WERE DYING. Is this what you call a "good guy" In what sense is he a good guy? What in the world is a "bad guy" if this beast is considered to be a "good guy. Your defense of this freaky sadistic beast is endless. Nothing will ever convince you that he is totally abnormal and mentally deficient as well. You know as well as I do that no one in their RIGHT MIND could ever torture and kill poor helpless animals for their own personal pleasure.

Also I think that MV is very comfortable hanging out with punks like him and would be very uncomfortable hanging out with ordinary human beings that have common horse sense and know right from wrong. That Roddy White is another punk and just as idiotic as NV. They blend well together as they have the same mindsets.

I hate to be abrupt but, how about dropping the "culture" bullshit OK? This is the US of phuquing A and it isn't our "culture" to fight, kill and torture the hell out of innocent dogs for fun and entertainment. If the sadistic MF"er was from China, Thailand, or Timbukfukintoo the culture shit might hold some water but the maggot is from southeast phuqing Virginia. Just to set the record straight, I have been here for more than the past 35 years and here's a news flash for ya, it's not our damn "culture" to fight, kill, and torture the phuque out of dogs and that goes for someone who has been raised in the projects also so save it.

The ignorant bastard knew it was wrong, he's not a freakin' retard who needed an adult to say "No, no Mikey, we don't drown, hang, slam against the ground, and electrocute our doggies for fun". The pure and simple fact of the matter is he is nothing more than a piece of shit who didn't give a damn about an innocent dogs life. He's a punk and an idiot with no brains, character, morals, or integrity and he is where a piece of scum like he has proven himself to be needs to be.........locked away in a cage in jail.

Good guy my ass, he's lower than shit.

Oh Rose! how did I ever guess that you were going to have some sort of response that basically says know one can change. Do they walk on water where you are from? I am sure they do not! Also, I am sure there are some things that you probably feel are justified whereas others might think you are a little off up top. I believe in change and maybe thats because I have a forgiving personality. Truth be told I have never been to a dog fight but years ago was asked to go to one as well as a cock fight. until MV got into trouble I did not know it was a crime that would put you in jail and up until a couple of years ago you "could" have cock fights in Oklahoma without being punished. So like I said you do not know everything. Maybe he did know that you could get in to trouble, I will continue to be on his side because everyone deserves a second chance, I know, I know, what about the dogs and their second chance, well to that I say they do not get one and although that is tragic there is only one person who can try and make a difference and help to correct what he has done, Vick. So just sit there and hate but I'll tell you this, If he ever speaks out about his actions and truly does change he will be one of the biggest assets for fighting this illegal activity.

Hey MR USA, thats great news that you have all of the US pegged and you know what is right and wrong, but I am telling you that I knew people earlier on in life who thought they had the baddest dog on the planet, to me that didnt mean sh*t because I wasnt raised around fighting animals. All I am saying is someone had to put it in their minds, someone had to make them feel like this was acceptable behavior. I doubt they walked into a pet store and for know reason bought a pitbull and said "I'm gonna make a name for myself" Hell it was plastered all over the "phuquing" news that he was one of the "big wigs" in the fightinng world, so dont give me that sh*it about a newsflash and how long you have lived in Virginia. I live in Oklahoma all my life and I am telling you there was once a time not long ago that people were betting on cock fights and it wasnt illegal, and when it became illegal people who had invested a lot of money in there roosters were Pissed, and yes it made headlines so you can look it up for yourself, so what makes you think that those same people who bet on cock fights didnt bet on dog fights to, to them this was sport and a way to earn money.

Yes, you're absolutely right, people can change. But, current evidence shows that vick still hasn't. As per a current interview with Tommy Reamon who recently visited the dogkiller at Leavenworth, vick is STILL blaming the people he associated with for his criminal actions and describing his 7 year long career in illegal interstate commerce that involved the gruesome killing and torture of dogs as a "mistake".

When he comes out and admits that what he did was extremely cruel and despicable and nobodies fault but his own, he might gain a modicum of respect. But up and until that time, he's just blowing hot air.

The idiot is still denying that he took any part in gambling so it's obvious that he continues to lie. He knows if he admits to any betting which he obviously did, that would be the proverbial nail in his coffin as far as any potential return to the NFL, thus his continued denial.

If you don't believe vick took part in the betting during his 7 year long participation, you're simply being naive.

"News flash" for ya sweetie, if someone has to tell you that fighting, killing and torturing the shit out of innocent dogs, for fun and entertainment no less, is WRONG and you don't have the capacity to realize it for YOURSELF then you're pretty much nothing but scum. That's called a callous and horrific disregard for life no matter how you want to spin it. Try again.

SOO agree with you last sentence. He could make dogfighting "uncool" among street thugs, and redeem himself with a lot of people, if he started crusading.

Not with his overwhelming ego and arrogance. He is so deeply imbedded with his enjoyment of torturing animals to death that I simply cannot see him doing anything that would be beneficial to society. If there was the slightest chance of him simply being a human being, I believe he would have to have some psychological guidance as he definitely is mentally deficient.

Oh, I doubt that he WILL change. Prolly the best he can do is to keep away from animals. He'll want to hurt SOMETHING.

But, it would be very valuable if he DID.

And, maybe I'll win lotto. ;-)
