The team is a sum of all the parts. It was a good run with Marvin, he is worker, does his job and gets off the field, no celebrating - fancy dances or dunks. Football player that's all. Classy act like his most recent former coach Tony Dungy. I knew that when Dungy left we'd lose some players - coach was class all the way and people understood it was more about other things than money. With a shift in coaching (no matter how small) comes a change in management, ownership and ideals. Good luck Marvin.

This is sad news but these football players are like leasing a car. I was sad when Mr. Dungy decided to call it quits but also agree with some of the posts above, with a new coach comes new management and so on, so forth. I agree that Peyton is the best QB in the game it just sucks that the star RB will me gone! I hope I eat my words as I am a HUGE colts fan but I don't see them doing anything past reg. season for a few years.

I'm so sad for this news! Even yesterday i was still hoping it would not go on. I'll sure miss him catching balls from Peyton.:-(

Harrison has not been the same. Any team that pays him more than 9 million is really desperate. Luckily the Colts have plenty of Talent. Roy Hall, Gonzales, plus whoever they pick up in the draft.
Onto something else that bugs me about this. 13 million to play football 60 minutes a week for up to 23 weeks? Then have months of vaction. Million dollar homes. I can't remember the exact figure, but wasn't some fo the 70's football stars contracts only around 500-700k a year. They survived. I wonder how some of these NFL players would survive like a normal person would? They couldn't just go out and buy a brand new car because they can. Then ticket prices for NFL games are out of this world. If you want to see a game, be prepared to fork out atleast 150 dollars per person for good seats. I wish there were days when you could go see a game with the family without going broke. Same goes for Baseball games. A ticket for Wrigly field costs how much? And the same ticket in the 70's. |

You might want a QB first lest you be accused of placing the cart before the horse errr Colt. |

theres been talks of sage rosenfals signing with the vikes. |

Don't laugh too hard, because some team will pay him what he wants. |

The economy in the 70's was totally different than it is now. Do some research....everything was WAY cheaper in the 70's. |

I hope the Giants buy him. That would keep him with a Manning. haha.

Dude if you have to take a pay cut take the dang thing. What ever happened to just playing for the love of the game. It is a shame when players get big heads and worry just about how much money they can make over their love for playing the game. Shame on them. I for one think that is very childish. They play sports they don't fight fires, fight crime, or fight for our country. Granted they are good players and do deserve some money but they don't need millions and millions.I know I may sound mean but hey, not all of us make millions and millions. So why should they????
