From Jay Cutler to Kyle Orton? That's going from a real 1st string pro QB to a QB that is a backup at best.Looks like Denver fans are going to have some serious fits of depression this season. Hopefully McDaniels won't get fired so he can continue to show us his ego and "brilliant" personnel moves. The rest of the AFC west loves ya' Josh.

I agree. With all the changes the Broncos suffered at the end of last season, all I can hope for is a .500 season and probablty theird in AFC west.

The Broncos will be super lucky to win 6 games this year

Furthermore....did anybody honestly think that Simms, an even more injury prone, interception machine hybrid of Rex Grossman was going to start? Toss in the fact the Broncos gave up a Franchise QB for 3rd stringer turned starter in Orton--you damn right the Denvers gonna see what they have and there gonna see what they have mighty quick. And that is an over abundance of fecal matter at the QB slot.
Good times. |

Orton and Broncos played tough against Romo and Cowboys, Dimz....whatcha think now? Orton isn't the Second Coming of Joe Montana, but he seems more than competent with the Broncos. The only former Bears 3rd Stringer I can name right now is Rex Grossman!(couldn't resist, sorry) Meanwhile, Cutler continues to mature, and our running game is FINALLY getting some legs! Nice win against Detroit, but our Defense needs some fine-tuning. Hell, with the busted up condition they are all in, I ain't complainin'! Fuggit, GO BEARS!! |

I'm not really impressed-900passing yards (184 yards of which was tipped interceptions) 5 td's in 4 games for orton. same old game manager we saw in chicago. I think orton will probaly go 9-7 over there as well, if that means anything? Our secondary really sucks and its something the Bears need to live with on defense. Forte had a good game, but, it was Detroit after all. I think he has a bad case of the sophmore jinx so far. hopefully he can shake it. Bears 10-6? hmmmm... |

You gotta give Orton credit for one thing ...his teams win. As far as Forte goes , Im not really as woried about him as I am worried about the o-line. There were some pretty good holes yesterday and he looked good. If teams are going to load up the box and dare us to pass why not pass. I think Cutler is capable. Its better than running into a pile and then kicking it away. |

I'm not going to pick on Orton because a "win" is a "win" regardless of his lackluster stats. Because Orton didn't after all cause them to lose any games because of mistakes. But I will point out that wins by the Broncos include Browns, Raiders, and fluke tipped 84 yard interception that beat the Bengals. They can hang there hats on the Dallas win,(maybe) but is Dallas any good this year? Guess my point is they played some super fantastic hot garbage teams so far. I predict 9-7 for orton if he or his team dont manage to screw up the easiest schedule in the NFL. I'm not worried about Forte either, I'm more worried about how long our wide recievers are going to overchieve before they fizzle....even Barry Sanders in his prime would run out of mojo if every down was an 8 man front with no passing game. So far Cutler has made all his recievers look good. O-line has been alot better then i thought (having a mobile QB also helps) Bears should make playoffs....in my opinion at least but i am biased. |

Amen to all of that, NMR! I'm glad to have Cutler vs. Orton, but old habits die hard, and I have a bad habit of watching how some former Bears work out on their new teams. Cedric Benson for example! Ugh, what happened? He got good all of a sudden?? Anyway, I have warm & fuzzy feelings for this Bears teams, but Christ, the injury bug is back! I sure didn't enjoy watching Cutler helicopter into the end zone, but am pleased with the result. Later, guys! Bye week is much needed in this town! Keep an eye on Orton, I think he is showing progress out there. |

Orton and the Broncos beat the Pats in overtime! Orton is not the most graceful guy to ever fling the ball, but damn, he manages to win. Glad they won, otherwise I would have felt like I wasted my Sunday! FUGGIT, GO BEARS!! |

Its only been 5 games...
Orton's always had good teams around him that did not need a spectacular QB to win. Its like taking his rookie year and saying he was a great QB based on his record. Nevertheless i'm happy he's 5-0, he and grossman were good ppl just not very successful in chicago. And on a personal note i'm happy with Cutler, i prefer my QB's to be playmakers. |

Cutler's twirling/diving TD was damn neat, and I agree, I prefer the option of a long ball to the patented Chicago "dink-dunk" game that Orton has perfected. Broncos game vs. Pats was like watching a game of miniature golf! Dink, Dunk down the field, 98 yds and touchdown! Shite, that's how I play big-boy golf, Par 15!! Yeah, I'll take Cutler, he's fine and our team is waking up! Sure wish we had a really good receiver on the team, I get the feeling that Cutler is just making do....he COULD duel it out in the air, but has to play the Chicago dink/dunk game because of limitations. We've bitched about this for year, haven't we? Later Dimz! GO BEARS!! |

Dave Haugh didn't think it would happen, but then....he was a Grossman booster, then an Orton booster, and then....?? The boy changes like the wind! I'd LOVE an impact WR on this team, too bad there are so few in this league! We have a five-star QB for once, and 2-star receivers. That's how I see it anyway. T.O.? Bring 'im on, doesn't sound like he'd cost much cash. What are we worried about, hurting Rashied Davis' feelings?? FUGGIT, GO BEARS! Bring on the Falcons! No pooch kicks this year, please!! |

Could you imagine that? TO in a Bears uniform? I dont think I really like the idea of that! He always rubbed me the wrong way. Doing his stupid sit ups in the end zone and just being the jerk he is! BUT I suppose I could handle him for 1 year if he can come in and produce. How about Orion and Benson? I was watching some of the Bengals game and Benson runs like a completely different guy! He actually looks like a real NFL RB! And what else can you say about Orton! The guy just wins! Do you realize he only has 1 INT this season and that came last weekend on a Hail Mary. As for our Bears. lets just hope they can somewhat contain White/Gonzalez and Turner this weekend. If that happens Maybe Cutler can help us manage to get a win. I think Tinoisamoa coming back might give our defense a boost. |

Hey, good for Orton! Makes you wonder how much of a factor the coaching has been with the Bears recent woes, right? Can't say I miss Benson at all, he did a lot of damage to the team - chasing Thomas Jones out, holding out for big bucks, lousy attitude etc. IF the guy was a stud with the Bears, I could forgive a lot...however, he was a bust as far as I was concerned. I'm pretty happy with the Bears in their present form, we need to get a lot of guys back on the field and producing! Atlanta will be a major game for this bunch....as much as I admire Orton, I'm very glad to have Cutler! And, I hear you about T.O., it is tempting to want a stud receiver, but he probably ain't it. I can't stand that end zone crap either, just ask "Butter Fingers" Knox about that! ha ha ha! Fuggit, GO BEARS! Very interesting season all around for once, I'm enjoying the hell out of a lot of teams! We will have some pretty big tests against the Vikes and Bengals, so buckle up! |

i would be actually mad @ the bears if they got T.O to be brutally honest.
it goes against alot of there preaching and would make them hypocrites and it would be embarassing. if i knew for a fact T.O would be the difference (the missing piece) for a superbowl win i would swallow it....but i do not think he is in my opinion...and bringing him in and getting rid of Tank,Benson, etc would make bears look like dumarse turds. I dont hate lovie smith, matter fact, i think he's a brilliant COACH!!......a defense coach that is. my finger has and always will be pointing at turner. and i can live with lovie replacing rivera if his idea was to be the guy running the defense. i just wish he had the same balls to kick turner to be honest. /shrug fuggit go bears indeed haha |

I agree about it being better to have Cutler over Orton. I feel that if we are involved in a game where the defense is giving up some points then Cutler is the type of QB who can put some points up. I just dont think Orton is as bad as people made him out to be. Thats all. I agree about Benson being a bust. I think he was a bust when he was with us and he acted like a baby. I think after he was cut and nobody was pursuing him it may have been a wake up call for him. I watched some of that game last weekend and he actually runs with some authority. He looks like a completely different guy. Even his body language is better. Too bad JA made a stupid move and got rid of Jones and kept him around. Jones was/is a true professional. T.O., I hope its just rumors. I can live without the guy win or lose. If he winds up here of course Ill root for him , but Id rather not have to. |

I totally see your point about being mad if he came to the Bears. I dont think he's the impact player he once was either. I think he could be a productive player for us. Difference between Owens and Benson/Tank is productivity. Especially in the case of Benson. But man is T.O. a headcase! |
