Just shut up and see how it plays out. He might just come in handy. The more talented pass rushers you have the better off you are as tge NY fb Giants proved when they beat New Englan in the SB.

The only Dolphin jersey hanging in my closet is #99/TAYLOR! I feel that he still can play and Parcels would not have brought him in if he did not feel that he can contribute. I admire JT for coming back for chump change to try and prove that he still can play and the only team that he wants to play for is the Dolphins! Good luck JT.

It wasn't the Redskins, it was Dancing with the Stars that did him in. That's why Parcels didn't want him last year. He didn't work out or do mini camps etc. last year with the Dolphins. He never commited to the 'Skins. He was traded, he didn't go there as a free agent. By his own admission, he wasn't worth what the Redskins were paying him.

Personally, I fear we will not get too much out of Jason Taylor individually; but the increased attention to him will allow openings for others on D. This is worth Taylor's addition alone. And it pleases some ticket holders which is good. Options and depth at all positions is key to our squeezing out wins to our amazingly hard schedule.

The only annoying thing is the uninformed - fair weather fans that will muck up our forums with complaints on JT's contributions through out the coming season.

Lets be real...Taylor went to Hollywood thinking he was the next Vin Diesel...when he realized they weren't breaking down his door, he had to return and try to finish out his NFL career with some dignity. But he fell out of shape and got hurt in DC. Now he has to humble himself and slink back to the Dolphins. But I wish him success...he paid his dues on the dismally coached pre-Parcells Dolphins.

What it amounts to is one guys too old and Wake is a fake..simple as that.
It's kinda of a mindset Pat Riley had bringing in Penny Hardaway and "smush parker" .
I'm not sold on Wake mainly because he got cut by the giants and they don't usually make mistakes on linebackers.
He has talent in one area, I don't think he's a power rusher or a coverage LB. Both he and Taylor are similiar.

Poor Joey still don't have any help.
Should've taken one of the many good linebackers after the white pick.

gee Barry, GREAT analogy. Except one thing. Jason has PROVEN himself as a great pass rusher/football player/community organizer. Obama was a bad community organizer, and so far as Prez, has basically nationalized the banking industry, car industry, and next, the health industry, and has asked the producers to pay for the non-producers (see Stalin, Chavez, Castro, Lenin, Marx, et al.).

Other than that, your point is RIGHT ON!

Do us a favor, leave politics out of a football thread.

He's a can't miss investment. Very low risk. If he's completely recovered from his injuries, he'll be a big asset. Parcells will know how to use him. I have visions of him and Porter coming at the quarterback from the same side. It'll help fix the doubleteams Porter was faced with late last season. I see a big season from him.

He could've had 8.5 million to stay in Washington. He didn't "have" to humble himself, he could've took the money and run. I think JT will do just fine. If he didn't think he still had it in him, he would've either retired, or took the 8.5 million to the bank.

It amazes me that there is so much emotion in some of these comments. The bottom line is that champion ships in teh NFL come because of MANY factors, one of which is vetarn leadership and charcter. Say what you want about JT but when a guy with his obvious TALENT and EXPERIENCE comes back to a team for less pay REGARDLESS of whet you think his reasons are, it ADDS to our team's chances of sustaining a full season of all out effort required to make the playoffs and then a serious run after you get there. JT is another valuable pice of a much larger picture. They management anc coach that brought us from 1-10 to 11-5 and 1st place in the division are a lot smarter than us. I'm thrilled to see JT back in Aqua & Orange and am VERY confident that he'll contribute. Why don't don't you know it al naysayers stayy off the forum. You haven't got a clue. MANY players will contribute this season.

Daily Horoscope for January 6

Taurus

Try to keep your energy a little bit more under control. If you scatter in all directions, you'll end up hot and bothered. Mars tends to rev up your engine, but an awkward aspect to Saturn will make everything go in stops and starts. As soon as you try to shift into higher gear you meet immovable objects at the moment, so the solution is to slow down. There are wonderful, uplifting influences hanging around as well as tricky ones, so just hang in there.
