Not as a starter but as a quaility back-up and mentor. Jetison Ferotte, sorry Gus. Pennington, according to the press here, will be released today. He is a high quality human-being with as small an ego as you will find in the NFL. He, unlike most ex-starting QB's (Favre), would be a willing mentor to TJ. The fans and press love him, but, he doesn't have the arm strength or feet needed in today's NFL. Nonetheless, there are many positives to having him in purple. I know you ALL agree with me.

I agree 100%, getting Pennington would be agreat move. Has he recovered from his injuries? Maybe he could start if Jackson doesn't do well. The Vikings window with the ages of some of their current players is about 2-3 years max.
