When you consistently put more talent on the field then the opposition, yet contiue to play poorly on both sides od the ball, you simply have to point the finger at the coaching staff. It's not just a couple positions it's the play of the whole team.

As predicted in the preseason, the Bearies will be lucky to win 6 or 7 games this season.

Super Chokes and this year a marshmellow schedule won't save their sorry tales.

When the Cubs lost their "swagger" (which they never really had), that left Chicago with zero swagger.

The Bears certainly haven't found it.

This team, now, is just going through the motions.... There are too many things wrong to list them all.

Griese can't hit receivers ..... receivers can't catch ..... the defense reaks ..... and Benson looks, and runs, like he's p-i-s-s-e-d o-f-f that he had to get out of bed this morning.

And, you KNOW things are going South when Robbie Gould starts missing field goals.

This team is just "mailing-it-in".

Where is Devin Hester in the offense? Where is any kind of running game? A year ago, the Bears had several wide receivers? What has happened to them -- the oft-injured Mark Bradley for example? Griese has some ability, but he has to have some tools to work with. Don't blame the defense. The score would have been a lot worse if any if they hadn't been out the the lion's share of the afternoon (no pun intended). Start making book on the AFC Champeionship winner -- either the Colts or the Patriots. The NFC has nothing but average to occasionally-good teams like the Bears beating up on each other. And -- let's hope the Bulls either 1) land Kobe or, 2) win the NBA without him some we can forget about all of this pigskin crap.

its not the players...its the COACHES! this is the absolute worse coached team since mike ditka left. the defense is so bad its pathetic and very difficult to watch. they had a good draft this year for the first time in a long time, but they get rid of the wrong players. they need a new ownership, general manager and coaching staff!!!

Okay!
It's time to make another change(QB) lets see what Orton can do. We need a running back with heart and let's get Thomas Jones back or we can say goodbye to the season with another lost..

When are all the reporters going to apologize for making fun of Grossman when Griese is no better. It's the team not the QB. Go ORTON!!!

They are who we thought they would be when you trade away a proven runner like Jones for a guy who had not proven a thing. Trade away a safety with experience like Harris for a 2nd year guy who got burned in last year's super bowl. Stick with a head case quarterback while your defense suffers from injury as a result of being on the field too long. Wanna point the blame on someone? Blame the GM for not looking at Breese when he was available. For not not looking at Jeff Garcia when he was available, oh Garcia has only 2 interceptions this year, both of them today. And for not looking at Culpepper when he was available. Either one would have been an upgrade over what we have. Griese is not gonna lead the Bears to the promise land, he didn't do it in Denver, he didn't do it in Tampa etc. etc. etc!

Actually with all the injuries on defense, bad trade of Thomas Jones, realization that Gross man was gross, the Bears are low on talent this year. Notice how the Patriots and Colts seem to be loaded with talent this year. Players want to play on a team with a dominant QB. The Bears need to draft a sturdy, big QB this year and hope for the best.

Their winter den awaits these hibernating Bears. Lets hope when they emerge in the Spring, that Cedric Benson, Ron Turner, the entire offensive line, the entire secondary, and Jerry Angelo, are nowhere to be found.

The Bears are done for the season. Players get you to the Super Bowl the fiasco with MANAGEMENT about audibles made me want to vomit could'nt they just let the quarterback and everybody else enjoy a rare moment of success this season ? He executed the winning drive and what did he get - a load of corporate management garbage in his face. People don't tune in on the weekends because they are the corporate type - no they say TGIF get me away from these bloodsuckers and let's get the weekend started. Bob Griese has nowhere else to go and look what happened to his game this week - thanks to the Bears corporate brain trust.

Lets get over it Bear fans, we lost to a better team today. Quit pointing the blame on one player or the coaches....it's a team effort. The Lions simply played better today.

We do not need another quarterback change ... for what? For fun? For the sake of doing it? No. What the Bears need is a heart transplant. Heads need to role. Players need to be benched. Coaches need to be fired. The whole team is awful. No desire, no heart, no nothing. Benson stinks ... nothing new. Griese stinks ... nothing new. The Defense stinks ... this is new and it's scary as it looks more and more like a coaching problem aka Lovie Smith and even more of a desire problem. No reckless abandon and absolute zero run stopping skills.(Archuleta needs to be cut tomorrow.)
But ... people will call for Orton. They will even call for Grossman. Nevermind that it's the likes of Berrian and receiving corps that drop the passes that are thrown by the "dubious achiever of the week" winner. Do people really think Orton will play "better" or that it will just be a change to see if the Bears stink, or just Suck Really Bad. I think it's the latter and no change at quarterback is going to help it. Heck, put Wolfe in at running back and see what happens ... coaches tell us they can't play him because he's too small to pass block, not that Benson or Peterson know how to do it. Forget more Hester on offense. That's not going to do anything but injure the guy that we need on special teams as it seems that is the only way we can score.
Defensively, the team needs an attitude replacement and a secondary.

I guess Urlacher was right. Players on losing teams use guarantees to motivate themselves.
