BG-

I don't usually comment here, since I actually read your articles in something called a newspaper (Jay Marriotti may take notice), but you provoked me into it.

As I read this article, I got some good laughs.

Trading Shockey not work out? Ok, lets put aside the personality effect on Eli and the team. He dropped passes, bitched about having to block so much, and played all out all the time so that he kept getting hurt. How many games are the Giants actually losing him for? Sure, the Giants lost talent, but may they have become a better team with his loss? Especially considering his persona and the draft picks the Giants received.

And as for asking Jerry Reese if he'd call Stahan later... who'd ever answer yes to a question like that??? Would Parcells have told you the truth on something that may happen down the road? Its like asking someone if they might get back together with their ex who dumped them, or asking Putin if he had ulterior motives in invading Georgia. There's no yes to that question.

I appreciate you asked Jerry Reese (hope you passed on that he has fans himself), but I think the only indicator that could exist would be Strahan's workouts. If he picks up a bit, then he may be leaving open the possibility of coming back. If he keeps it light, he won't come back.

And I don't think Strahan is coming back, I just think he might.

You're always good for news and analysis, its nice when I also get a couple of chuckles from a writer I respect so much. Thanks, Bob.

Well you certainly are a funny Giants fan and as A Colts fan I've always had respect for the Giants. So I'll put in my 2 cents on this and your post.

1.Jermey Shockey had to go, he was too much of A head case. He wanted the ball way too much and was for the most part the main reason why the Giants lost 3 strait playoff games.

2.I'm sure your right about Jerry Rese Calling up Strahan. But like you I knew he (Strahan) was going to stay retired from football for good. I was also very disappointed he didn't get on the same analyzes team as Warren Sapp this year. Michael Stahan and Warren Sapp together as analyst are clearly the Jeff Vangundi and Mark Jackson tandem of the NFL. Only Strahann and Sapp are better.

3.I know this is a bit off topic, but I just had to say it. The Pats will suck ass next season and not make the playoffs because their fat bastard cheater coach clearly let his defense get too old on him too fast. And I think as long as the Giants have Eli Manning they have a good shot at the playoffs maybe not the super bowl (this year), but defenitally the playoffs.

4.I think Mathias Kewenuka is a good DE and better then Tuck but not Osi. He should do a good job filling in for Osi. Man I like Mathias, because he is from Indiana.

5.Did you know that Jerry Reese last season became the first ever African American NFL GM to win a super bowl?

be really nice if strahan were to land in the helicopter, get out of it carrying the trophy, while running over to the giants sideline wearing his uniform...number 92.... i know, its not to be... but, wouldn't that bring the house down.

now i am covered with my new favorite team the patriots so that means the colts suck twice as much (LOL)
No, I think I speak for everyone when I say that the Patriots are who your meaning to be talking about.

PS.
Now that the Patriots suck because of a certain Giant super bowl loss and an aging defense and the Raiders have sucked ever since they lost the super bowl. Looks like the only team you will have to turn to next season is your beloved Lakers.

Daily Horoscope for January 7

Libra

Remember that life isn't all fun and games: handle your responsibilities first, then plan how to have a good time. Your impulses, once you yield to them, will have a tendency to lead you further and further from where you need to be. Make sure you lock the door behind you before disappearing; when you're in this kind of mischievous mood, you probably won't want anyone else to know where you're going.
