Why would the Browns not want to wait one more season to ensure that this year was not a fluke. I do not think it is, the Browns will be the new dominate team in the North, but still, Crennel needs to prove himself worthy of the extension.

Please explain how it is set up for a disaster, and exactly what 12 games do you see the Browns losing.

I have said many times that the schedule is more difficult, and a 10-6 record may be hard to achieve. But everybody in our division has to play the same set of tough opponents (Cowboys, Giants, Redskins, Eagles, Colts, Jags, Titans). Somebody has to win the division. The Browns have as good a shot at that as to the other teams.

Ed, I couldn't agree more. Can you say "Butch Davis"? Look what happened after he was rewarded with an extension. One more would not have hurt and if successful all of the guess work is removed. If the team tanks next season then what? I wish I had the money to toss like Learner does.

Old Man Grump, apparently your not aware that Cowher , if hired, wants full control of football operations which means no Phil Savage around, etc. Additionally, Cowher would hire a whole different staff. This all would result in 2 steps back and a lose of momentum from the 2007 season...

Trust in Phil and chill out people. You sound like a bunch of whiners.

All you lame browns fans will be calling for Crennels' head on platter after next seasons disapointment. Its always the same old story with you guys. How many of you wanted to keep Crennel when you guys were 4-12?

All you stupid Steeler fans should read stories about the Steelers and comment on them. Why do you worry what the Browns do? You think the Steeler fans would stand behind any of their coaches after a 4-12 season? Winning is what mattes. And if the team is improving and getting better, you don't normally fire the head coach. Unless you're an idiot.

Who would want him? Cowher is a loser! Picking him up as a coach is a losers game.

Please cite credible sources that Cowher is even looking for a coaching gig in the NFL.

Quite honestly, this is what I was thinking, too! While this season surprised everybody, I am holding off until I see some consecutive winning seasons. Not just one, like this one, to get a contract extension.

If the team does a 180 next season, he should be gone as that would be proof it was a fluke.

And this coming from a moron who thinks Wendy's and their value menu is too expensive. Because 3.50 or so for a burger, fries and drink breaks YOUR bank. That makes YOU the cheapass, dumbass.

What even makes you more of a moron, Crennel does not do the hiring or the signing of the contracts, you stupidfukk.

Daily Horoscope for December 28

Scorpio

The thought of the sales is almost too good to resist today, and you'll jump at the chance to see what's on offer. Even better if you can snap up some bargains at the same time. It's certainly a good day for investing your money carefully, but make sure you aren't more seduced by the reduction in the cost of something than in the item itself. Are you certain that you want to buy it?
