You know, despite some public opinion, I think Channing is a fantastic linebacker, who led the team in tackles when Zach went down, but this injury bug with players and their knees, Miami really might want to consider not getting Glen Dorsey, because think of all the players with injury problems, i.e. Crowder, Yerimiah Bell, Zach, Holliday, Matt Roth, even Jason Taylor from time to time, when will any of our players play a whole season??? Why does NE get the best back ups and never have all these injury problems? If they do, they aren't always re-occuring injuries.. I think Miami has to hire better scouts to not only look at future playmakers, but get scouts who can pick players that aren't always injured!!! I mean, Channing was a great pick, but this injury could be bothersome if he plays injured, or next year gets hurt. You know we ought to start getting some 2nd/3rd tier linebackers in the draft, among other players....in fact the best draft play might be to trade the #1 pick for a #2 and #3 this year, and go with 3 #2's and 2 #3's....get a whole new special team.

I hope we get more than a #2 and #3 for the #1 overall pick in the draft... lets hope atleast. I agree with the Dorsey comment, everytime I watch LSU he is limping off to the sideline holding his back. This guy is still in college and he's hurt all the time. Imagine what a NFL season will do to that back.

Another note on Dorsey. LSU has done squat on D the second half of this season. And Mcfadden and Co ran all over LSU while Dorsey was hurt. We shouldn't worry about taking Dorsey though. It's still a safe pick so we will probably end up getting some guy from appalacian state or some other nonsense if Cam is still around. You guys still happy with Beck? And if so do you agree with me that he should be started the next two weeks to test him some more? or do you want lemon to start and let him compete for the starting role next year??? If Lemon does start the next two weeks do you guys think we will bring in another QB (mcnabb???) or will Lemon come into camp as the #1?

Sun Sentinel, What are you guys doing here? All these comments are from LAST YEAR. Even the last article I read on Chad Pennington & how he helps mentor the younger QBs under him had posts from 2007.

What a Goof! Somehow I dont think this is a mistake. This is intentional! It's a little bit funny too considering that a lot of the posters who dally here are a little daffy. Oh well........

My personal opinion is I really appreciate what changes have occurred with the Dolphins. I mean to go from 1 & 15 to 9 & 5 after just ONE off-season. If Sparano doesn't get coach of the year we need to throw shot glasses against the mirrors behind the bar and just BUST the place to smithereens. Jeez I wonder where that word originated....... Go Dolphins Go Sun Sentinel YOU ROCK!!!!(In spite of what the naysayers say

These games have real meaning. That's exciting football - something we haven't seen here in a long time. These guys know how to play in the cold - no worries there.

Pennington was snubbed for poster boy Farve.

Total Bullshit that Cutler made the Probowl. I can understand Manning and the big name in Favre but Cutler?

Penny should have been the 3rd QB.

I think we should keep the No.1 Overall pick and draft Jake Long. I also think we should just trade Jason taylor to a team like the Redskins for something like a 2nd and a 6th rounder next year. Also I have a friend who knows a buddy in NY and he says the Jets are trying to trade for Brett Favre!!! If this happens the Jets would cut Pennington and we could sign him and he would be our QB for 2008!

My prediction is that with pennington and Ronnie having a probowl season we could be 11-5 and win the AFC EAST.

Another inside source told me that sometime during the season we would go to a radical type of offense called the wild cat. Not sure what he was talking about.

Cannot wait for the season opener against the Jets!!!

I agree with everything you said. I would add that they should shift to a 3-4 completely though. I think Porter will have a monster year back in the 3-4. Im talking Defensive Player of the Year maybe (i know sounds stupid). And switch Roth to LB too, he's not good at DE.

I agree with you, I'd say, about 17-19 sacks!?

I'm not sure about that guy Crocker though, I'll be he gets cut before the end of the season!

Let me guess, Favre made the Pro Bowl because Jets fans stuffed the ballot boxes. He has trown 17 interceptions this season. He should not be in the Pro Bowl.

I predict the Fins will draft Jake Long #1 overall, pick up Chad Pennington from the Jets (no trade required) & Obama will win Presidential election. Anyone wanna Bet?

I predict that Plaxico Burress is going to shoot himself in the leg next year and the Giants pick up Derek Hagan to replace him, after we cut him! And there is some buzz around a certain kicker in Montana; let's draft him and cut Feeley!

Something like that.

In FA I would stay away from that WR Wilford.

Actually a lot of Jets fans don't like Farve. The sheer numbers of New York fans even with 2 teams could do it. I'ts possible he could still end up in the Pro Bowl b/c a lot of times players end up needing to get surgery. Plus there are other reasons why players who get chosen decide to pass.
Sometimes teams will PAY a player NOT to play b/c they don't want to take the chance on him getting a career ending injury in a game that means so little
