Relax? The only thing that is exciting about the bears is there defense! Special teams in terms of kicker, a joke. Nothing against whoever we have know i forget his name but he is useless after 40 yards. Take a look at the offensive line ages! Tait is 31 now Brown is what 35? 36? kruetz is now 30 Metclaf sucks! Garza is ok but can he stay healthy at 28 and here is my favorite Miller who is 36 maybe 35
Where were the bears when it came to going after that ex Charger Left Guard Toni Fontinou (or howeve ru spell it) that guy is a stud! 26 years old or how about adding Le Charles Bently (the other pro bowl center) make him shift to guard or something thats what happened to that old center who used to be on the patriots now on the lions i forget his name now but he turned out to be real good still! Or even that shaffer guy who the browns signed any falcon offensive linemen is good oh and did i mention he is 26 to! How about a tight end? Yes we are supposivly going to draft one but they haven't done anything! Why didn't they make a run for cultpepper? Forget the injuries dolphins got him for a second round pick! Can you imagine cultpepper to muhammed or to bradley or to gage or berrian! Take notice at something hear when Joe Gibbs took over the redskins what like 2 years ago on that god forsaken defense that they had, he brought in Shawn Springs, Cornelious Griffin, drafted sean taylor, phillip daniels, warrick holdman and they suddenly had this amazing defense to combine with what they barely had in just lavar arrington and fred smoot! Now open your eyes and take a look at the smartest off season franchise the cleveland browns they already had an average o-line nothing special but an average one now they have an almost perfect one a second year stud in braylon edwards if kellen winslow is what they say he is WATCH OUT, charlie frye aint bad. then they signed i think it was ted washington yes kind of an old joke but its better then what they had then sign willie mcginest this time is for real rueben drougnes is gunna have a monster yardage year you just wait and see. My point to all of this is that they didn't or haven't even gaven a reasonable offer to any of these guys LeCharles Bentley, Shaffer, Will Witherspoon, Jason Fabini, LaVar Arrington, Toni Fontinou this list can go on forever they make no efforts last year they brought in muhammed which wasn't bad but look at his age there was another reciever who was free last year forget who it was but he was like 26 and a STUD! The bears never SHOW THE MONEY and PLEASE get a new quarterback grossman/hutchingson/orton (give me a break)even the dolphins last year had feurrote and that guy did better then the rest of them

Ben, Sounds like you can't keep up with the NFL durring the off season, or your just a cheese head !! In either case you should consider a new sport that may suit you better , Perhaps womens bowling or strchronized swimming !! Not alot of changes in those sports, you should do well !! Good luck .

Ben our oline kicked ass last year. How else could Thomas Jones rush for 1300 yds in 14 games when everyone knew he was getting the ball and defenses were putting 8 on the line to stop the run. Hutchinson was cut before the season started. Im glad we didn't sign Randle El why should we pay 30 mil. for an average receiver who is a good punt returner. I'd rather see what Bradley or Berrian will do know with Grossman/Griese/Orton. The offense should be much improved this year. Ron Turner revamped the offense once already in Chicago and he's going to do it again. Plus this will be the first time in 3 or 4 years that the Bears aren't running a new offense so it will go smoother.

I love what angelo is doing i would like to see briggs signed to a 5 year deal.Griese was a huge pick up i think we wont need him this season which will give him plenty of time to heal.First round should be a corner/safety.Second round tight end.3rd round defensive pick.Suprise of the year will be cedrick benson he will be last years larry johnson, or very close to.

It would be nice if they also brought in a linebacker for some depth.

Personslly I am very excited about what Lovie has brought to the Bears organization. Angelo has bought into Lovies' philosiphies and so have the players. There is real team chemistry and a great belief in success going on among the team now and I believe that is huge.
I love their draft this season. It's all about drafting speedy playmakers who are stand up people. Defense and field position is a proven winner. Matched with great special teams' play and a tight running game that is hard to beat.
I would bet that Coach Turners' offense will be very much improved, and be a pleasant suprise.
It takes time for a coach to get all the pieces he wants in place. Lovie is only in his third year as a head coach and so far he has really lit a fire to my beloved Bears' organization.
Extreme excitement for well deserving Bears' fans is a wonderful thing!

I agree with you Gary. The offense looked pretty damn good when Grossman returned. Add to that getting back the injured players like Bradley, Berrian, Benson just adds more weapons to the mix. They should have a top notch return game that will provide some great field position and a few scores I bet. They provided some depth on defensive side of the ball too. Should be a fun season 2006!

Garywz, Gorilla G, G$ we are all the same so all you know that.

Anyway Packman lets make that bet that the Bears are gonna finish last this year. How much are you willing to bet? Seriously I KNOW you would not place a dime on that. Even FudgePackers aren't that stupid......are they???Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Damn the late eighties and early nineties were fun smackin' down the Pack all the time. Holmgren and Favre had to come f*ck all that up. Now it's smackdown time again...for real....None of this outscoring on long passes ala Favre real smackdowns....Chicago Defense style... Damn it's good times!!!!
Actually Green Bay is not my most hated team it's Minnesota I hate with a passion more than anything!!!!
