This Darrelle Revis situation is becoming a major problem for the Jets. Eric Mangini’s team overachieved last year by winning ten games and making the playoffs, and should have been able to build on that momentum. They had made all the right moves trading for Thomas Jones and drafting Revis and David Harris, yet by letting contract disputes dominate the headlines out of Hofstra this summer, the Jets must decide to either save face and give in to agent Neil Schwartz’ request of a five-year contract, or let this holdout continue leaving the Jets with a much weaker secondary than J-E-T-S fans thought they had back at Radio City Music Hall.
