Reed is basically sitting out training camp. Todd Heap on the injury list - get used to it. Wilcox....who's he? He's had that toe injury for what seems like three years. These practice games get more boring and irrelevant each year.

Is his name Flacco or Fakeo? This is another Balto. bomb at the Qback. position. Living in upstate NY, I watched the game from the Boston side, There announcer refered to Flacco's School name as the Mud Hens, that kind of sums it up.

In case you did not notice Ed, Flacco had absolutely no offensive line in front of him. Flacco had about .75 seconds to get the play off before the pocket completely collapsed each play. The offensive line that played in the 4th quarter was tired, inept or both. The Patriots defenders were pouring in from every side. Tom Brady could not have any better given that protection.

Flacco is untested, but we have to give him a while before we pass judgment. Remember, when Bill Belichick first saw Tom Brady, he wrote that Brady was doomed to failure and would never amount to anything as a quarterback in the NFL.

Bill Belicheck is one of the grumpiest looking people I have ever seen. I would hate to have to watch him every game.

How the hell are u gonna evaluate Flacco with nobody playin their best game anymore?? OL was giving up on every snap the poor rookie had!! He was thrown out there with a whole buncha other rookies who were as nervous or more nervous than him. You poeple need to evaluate the ROOKIE when he plays with the 1st team OFFENSE. He still has a long way to go and we all know he is not gonna start any games during the season. Unless we're 4-9 and then it's necessary to have him start.

Did anyone else notice that the refs sucked last night? A fumble, an incomplete pass and an intentional grounding that were either not called or were called wrong. I'm just glad that this didn't happen during the regular season, but who knows it probably will.

Yeah, those BS calls always get the Ravens. The Refs have always paid extra attention to pass coverages when the Ravens are playin cuz they know our D is no joke. I have seen the refs not calling several Pass Interferences, but with the Ravens is otherwise. I have to thank NFL tonight and SPORTS CENTER for showing them. It won't take a damn GENIUS to notice the BS calls. Such highlights just say it all. Ain't nobody is perfect, but damn...this sometimes goes outta control. and no, last year's Patriots game has nothing to do with this, but that GARBAGE GAME versus the Lions in 2005 sure does.

That reasoning is valid but only to a point. All three QB's have been splitting time with all the lines pretty equally, from what I can tell. It's not as if the line in front of Flacco just met him and each other an hour before the game.

The Patriots also started with their third team and, by the time Flacco got on the field, were down to somewhere around their fifth team.
All together that should even things up and if you are honest, while I wouldn't suggest we cut him off of this performance, Flacco was disappointing.

I suspect that what really threw off Flacco's group, besides nervousness and incompetence, was that they were expecting more time but the Pats held the ball for sometime before Flacco got on the field.

Colt Brennan the 186th pick of the draft (versus Flacco at 18) and ex-Hawaii QB,a man with an alleged rag arm, in pretty much the same situation the other night, lit up the place and looked fantastic with the 3rd or 4th string Redskins team in front of him. Don't tell me the Redskins have better pratices or prepare their rookies than we do.

I'm sure he'll be fine but it was a bad performance.

It does not matter how many snaps Flacco had taken in practice or how familiar he was with the line. What matters is the fact that the line that was in front of him did not block at all. I don't care if Flacco took every snap in practice and had an O-line that was comprised of guys he had spent the last 2 years with in a commune, if the line doesn't block, Flacco cannot produce. It is that simple. Without protection from the O-line, no quarterback can produce.

Daily Horoscope for December 23

Scorpio

Be careful how you handle a certain someone today because their mood is little short of incendiary. They'll jump down your throat if you dare to disagree with them, and then accuse you of being a wimp if you decide that it would be better to agree with everything they say. You can't win! If they really get on your wick, you'll have to give them a piece of your mind, even if it is supposed to be the season of goodwill to all men. Huh!
