Corey Simon 14 appearances -$14 mil.
Corey Simon's position being replaced by a hard as nails, undrafted, affordable rookie name Ed Johnson - PRICELESS!

It sure looks like Simon got away with a grand scheme of bilking the Colts out of some big money. We didn't hear of these physical issues when we signed him did we? I just don't think he had the heart to play and I understand it is a very difficult sport but what he did is nothing short of fraud and stealing in my opinion. The silver lining is that we got Booger and Big Ed because of the sham. Go Colts!

Man that Polian guy is an idiot. He released Simon and got some backlash from people who thought we needed "big lazy" on the team. Seems Polian was right AGAIN!!!! Polian is such an idiot LOL

Where are the idiots who were upset when the Colts let him go earlier in the season? How come you aren't complaining now that the defense is going to suck because we let Simon, Harper, David and June go. Ever think maybe you guys work where you do for a reason and Dungy and Polian work where they do for a reason?

For the 14 games he played, Simon was a beast. Glad to have him then and we are glad to have Booger and Big Ed (from PSU!!) now.

Go Horse!

It's hard to figure out why people are attacking him personally - If I had onle ONE skill, and it paid that well, I'd milk anyone who would pay me as much as I could - especially if I had nothing to fall back on, and 50-60 years to live. It sucks bigtime that it was the Colts that paid most of it, but we got a ring, a better defense, and a big lesson learned out of the deal. Let the Pats buy the big free agents and see what happens. We'll just get undrafted players that can play, instead. That way, our key players are in place, and we can slowly feed the NFL a steady stream of used athletes that paid their dues and got rings. Kinda the reverse of what Karl Malone and Charles Barkley tried to do late in their careers.
Simon used us, but now we get to use the rest of the NFL... not so bad, eh?

I think they all lived in NE. You may notice if you go the Boston Herald site, there's not much commenting going on.

hehehe -- Sufan, I was totally worried about all the defections on D till I realized they lost 6 or 7 members the worst defense in the league last year (except for the four most important games). Then I didn't feel so bad. And I'm glad the Colts are in the hands of Dungy and Polian. If I were in charge of personnel the Colts would've drafted Ryan Leaf and Ricky Williams and my house would be coated in eggs.

In 2005, Simon signed a $30 million contract with Indianapolis of which $14 million was paid out in salary and bonuses.

In late August of 2007, Simon signed a one-year,$720,000 contract with the Titans. There is no information yet on exactly how much of this contract the Titans have actually paid him.

Didn't believe he would last this long with TN. He'll have to live with what he did to the Colts. Bet he wished he had that ring. Money won't buy the respect he lost.

Bill Polian is generally great at what he does! Who had ever heard of guys like Bob Sanders, Edge, etc. He has built quality teams at every stop in his career! Unfortunately, with Simon, it didn't work out! For every bad decision, he's made a hundred good ones! I wish I had as good a record during my lifetime to date!!!

Corey is very well spoken and must be pretty smart to get one over on our Colts. He will probably end up as an analyst on ESPN going head to head against Skip Bayless.

I think the people who are angry with him area lready well represented. So I will take another stance. It's a shame if it's true that it is his body and his will that gave up on him. I have been seeing a few stories about how the sport has ravaged athletes body and left them dealing with a less than stellar quality of life. Hopefully he listened early enough. I don't think he has enough celebrity to continue his charity work, but I hope he tries.
