Liberty High School graduate Bill Shuey was named linebackers coach for the Philadelphia Eagles Monday.

What is defensive quality controll coach ?

Quality control coaches do different things for different teams but almost all of them are in charge of breaking down opponent's game films. Usually one or two weeks in advance.
They also act as advance scouts in many circumstances. The move from defensive quality control coach to a position-specific coach is a standard promotion on an NFL team. |

I'm going to say it was '92. Shuey was a defensive back and running back for semi-pro football teams in Pittsburgh in 1996-98 and in the Lehigh Valley from 1999-2000. |

I played football at the Rock and started from 94-97 in the defensive backfield. Never have I heard of him. He was not even our manager/ student assistant. By the way, I was also a sport mgmt grad. He must have been commuting and breaking down film in his off campus apartment. Good luck Eagles! Ried said he has a great football mind! Huh! Coach Mihalik missed one!

'92 is right....and '97 from slippery rock.... he never did play for slippery rock, but he did play semi-pro for the pittsburgh colts while in the area, both offense and defense
