Leftwich definitely makes more sense than the Cutler rumors. He wouldn't come in with as big of an ego and he's stronger and more mobile. He could be a good fit for the system and a good insurance policy, but I think he's better off with the steelers. Colt is pretty much a roster lock and Todd makes much quicker decisions than Leftwich...it'd be a real battle just to make the roster.

Redskins would sign Ryan Leaf if he wanted to come back. They need to stop this Patriot-like F/A spree. It's not working.
Looks like they're not going to get Leftwich. All they've offered him is the chance to "compete" for second-string at veteran's minimum. No way he goes for that, unless the Steelers tell him they flat-out don't want him.

No! They won't do so until after the draft. I really look for them to sign him. Thats what he wants too if he can't compete for a starting job elsewhere. Charlie Batch is the big ? IMO he won't be offered a contract because his 12 yr. vets salary will impact Harrisons' resigning and the signing of the new guys that are drafted. I'm hoping Batch will be offered a coaching job.

Makes sense that Batch would be the odd man out.

If it turns out that the steelers go with ben/leftwich/dixon at QB I sure hope they offer C Batch a coaching job. He has every quality the Rooneys look for in an employee. He is heavily invested in the community with his charity work and after school programs in homewood. Also it's obvious he doesn't want to leave the sidelines or the game.
It will be interesting to see how this plays out. Obviously dixon is the #2 guy of the future...maybe this will be his year to go #2 that way he can play a slash role...keep charlie as the #3. If Ben gets hurt you can still play your #3 and #2 right? I'm not sure how the rule reads.

Daily Horoscope for December 28

Pisces

This is another good day to be tactful, and if anything you'll be even more successful than you were yesterday. This is not to be sneezed at, so seize the opportunity to talk to people who can sometimes be very touchy or who need to be handled with kid gloves. If you meet someone who's older or more influential than you, you'll be a big hit with them.
