This article, however, addressed a HUGE problem: Kicking. Longwell cannot kick a touchback. Great field position for the opponent is not helping.

True. This team needs help everywhere. I think all positions should be open. Personally, I'd start with a big leg kicker and some special teams guys who WANT to play and occasionally catch a pass. The lack of depth problem is squarely on management. What do the triangle dorks do anyway? If they are worth their money, they should be raiding practice squads and combing colleges AND studying the waiver wire. Instead, I think the triangle is playing "little brick out" with Avant.

What do you guys think of Alan Williams getting the DC job (if)? I believe it won't matter much with the current roster which is what this thread is about but like you say PF...we aren't going to upgrade 11 positions.

Coach will not be fired but rather upgraded TOO Secondary/assistant DC STAFF. Players love him..........He was a great one.......just need to get him the right fit.

harry I know jack about politics..........I know my interst rate dropped big time due to our current Catholic Pres.........lol. I think the Giants showed how its done. Or at least a way of doing it. Big WRs and at least the threat of a running game. And a pass rush that gets the other team worn out by the start of the 4th quarter. I've never been a fan of the 3-4 or Dallas' flex. The NFL now is an arena passing league. Four pass rushers are needed. I'm going to stick with my original suggestion of getting a kicker. A guy who can boot kickoffs thru the endzone is way more valuable than any sentimentality toward a well liked veteran who is past his prime. Then, looking at the division, I kind of agree with Childress that "D" is where to focus. Nobody on this roster, except for Winfield, deserves a spot right now. And the Tampax 2 has gotta go. BTW........our LBs are the weakest of the weak spots. And even weaker is Singletary. That whole area is a tear-down. Lots of problems. Start anywhere.
