There seems to be an alarming rate of young people dying from heart attacks these days. This is indeed a tragic story as is the story of the young lady who died while jogging. THoughts and prayers are with the families of these parents, families, and friends of these two.

Probably raised in the backseat of an SUV, eating Happy Meals, between sporting events and play dates. That may be a bigger cause they we want to admit. How many kids are raised on fast food?

It does make one wonder. I know plenty of parents whose kids eat nothing but chicken nuggets from McD's. The other thing I wonder is, could it be in something that we receive as kids? Like a vaccine or standard treatment for an illness? Something we'd never suspect? Poor kids. Have their whole lives ahead of them. There sure seem to be too many teens out there with heart defects. I wonder how many will have to die before someone starts looking into it....like the FDA maybe?

The Clemson jogger, the Clemson flag football player, the 15 year old jogger this week and now this young man just to name a few. Something is not right in the hen house. Could be our diet or lack of exercise or both. It does get ones' attention when they are so young. Good that this young man died at a happy event. May he RIP and my sympathy to his family.

I can't believe this could happen to such a young guy. I was at that game (my first game) and was on my way down by where he was seated and watched this happen.
My heart goes out to his friends and family.

Virgo

If the past few days have been a blur of cooking, washing up and wrapping paper, take a break today and catch up with loved ones. Have a long talk with one of them so you can find out what they've been doing lately, or discuss a topic that concerns both of you.
