Her Ravens fans

looking for something to do this weekend? Head out to Cincy to watch the 7-4 Ravens! if you check ebay, there are 6 tickets right now up for final bid at the price of $21.(not per ticket just $21). It would be awesome to watch Baltimore fans take over a stadium...

if you do go, fly into Louisville, KY and drive into Cincy (much cheaper)

Good story about a quality young man. The Ravens have had a bad reputation over the years, but with players like Ben Grubbs and Haloti Hgata beside Samari Rolle and other quiet heroes (good or great players and outstanding members of the community), it is undeserved.

His Mom did herself proud!

Congratulations Mrs. G!

After watching the Eagles beat up on a good team last night, and get pressure on Warner at will, I've got a lot of respect for our O line, and the play of our secondary last Sunday.

Fabulous story.Every fan should be proud to wear Mr. Grubb's jersey.Sad part is,he's an exception to the mostly greedy, selfish, maladroit players permeating big business sports.

Actually, he is part of a growing number of young men and women who enter pro sports but continue to show the values they have developed from family, friends or both.

The problem is that in this "if it bleeds, it leads" world, a PacMan Jones gets more news that 20 of these quite heroes.

What a great group of young talent on this team. I'm happy to have young players like: Grubbs, Ngata, Jason Brown, Flacco, Ray Rice, etc. This years team has a great balance between the veterans and young guys. Could anyone imagine a clown like T.O., Chad Johnson, or Pacman in this locker room? I seriously doubt it...GO RAVENS!!!!

Thank you for this upliftimg story.
It is truly sad that we focus on the wrong people because "it sells'
It is reassuring to see you focus on what is good in life and not the thugs and flamboyant actors. I admire that young man and praise God for answering his mom's prayers.

Great story to read at Thanksgiving. Ben Grubbs is going to be real good football player. The way he was raised was a great start for a fine young man. Most of these young players are all the same, coming from a small town and raised by single parents and to have them turn out like this really makes it even more prouder to be a Raven fan.

Agreed. I didn't appreciate the win over the Eagles until I saw them dismantle the Cards last night.

When Ben Grubbs' career is said and done in Baltimore, he will be right up there with the all-time greats from the Colts and the Ravens. Thankful for his being a Raven!

You have it exactly backwards...the greedy selfish maladroit players are the ones the are the exceptions...the really sad thing is those exceptions are the one who end up garnering attention from a sensationalist media, leaving gullible, biased people like you to fall for the notion that greed and selfishness is the norm among athletes when it isn't.

It seems Mr. Grubs has his head sewn on straight. He is the genuine artical when it comes to humility and family values. I respect that, a lot.

Hopefully Ben will have a long and prosperous career here in Baltimore. I'm looking forward to it.

What a wonderful story -- Raven fans are soooo proud of you Ben. I'm positive that MOM is too.
Always continue to be a truly wonderful role model to our young people. They need to see how young people in circumstances similar to yous can succeed with their dreams. Thanks for sharing your story.

I love reading these player stories. If I hadn't just bought 2 Raven player jerserys I'd buy a Grubbs jersey. Grubbs what a great football players name. Next year I'll get a Grubbs. You know the same year we really challange for the Super Bowl.

Daily Horoscope for January 7

Capricorn

You'll have difficulty finding equilibrium in your emotional life at the moment; try to control the impulsive side of your character. At work, your usual powers of intuition will be clouded. Fits of feverishness may bother you and break down your energy. If you can get out into the countryside for a walk, you'll feel much better.
