You can't start predicting a losing season after the first game. Billick's camp cream puff has to go because it was evidence from their play on Monday night that they were not ready. Training camp needs to be far tougher than it has been in order to get these guys ready to play 100% during the first game.

I think that Kyle Boller is going to surprise many with his play if he has to start in place of McNair. He played well in Monday's game coming in off the bench. He threw two very nice touchdown passes - one being caught and called back and one being dropped. Neither of those things were his fault. I am not ready to jump on the Boller Bandwagon yet, but I may be getting ready to jump on soon.

Kyle Boller is *not* the answer. The Ravens are *not* going to have 13 wins this year. They are lucky if they make it to .500. McNair should join the AARP, with all of his injuries his body is actually 84 years old (in dog years). The Ravens are done.

I cant believe all you negative so called "fans". The offensive line might need a little more time to gel after JO injured his toe- but Jared Gaither could possibly step in at some point in the mid season. He needs to get some more reps and learn to move his feet a little better.

I liked the way Boller played on Monday night coming off the bench cold and then throwing 4 good balls. I think he will "manage" if we can keep him only playing a few games (Jets and Cardinals should not be super hard games). But we will see if he is finally grown up.

With Sams being out that takes out a huge part of our return game. However, we all saw what Ed Reed can do and hopefully Figures has figured out how to hold onto the ball. He is quick just like Sams and could very well do a good job.

The defense were better than they looked- with the offense giving the ball over 6 times the defense did very well keeping the team in the game.

The upcoming schedule is on our favor. If we can get some guys healthly by week 5 or so I think we will do fine. Go Ravens! and come on it is only the first game of the season.

It was easy to see in the exhibition season the Ravens were not ready. I didn't expect a particularly crisp game on Monday but I didn't expect what happened either. More importantly, how is Ray Lewis' injury? There has been nothing written.

I think the OF line will be just find without JO .If he retired so he retired everyone know who the best LT in football was JO.He can be a great OF line coach for someone if not the Ravens.Kyle Boller will be find .Ravens could of won the game if the right call was made to pull Steve McNair in the first quarter of the game.

We need to think about life after Ogden and Lewis because it will be here real soon. We got a severe dose of adversity the other night and the team needs to press forward. Next man up!

Man, yes that's what the other Divisional teams want from us to fight amongst ourselves and hate each other. C'mon guys lord it's the 1st game and you think our season is done with? Do you have faith in the other key players? From what I'm reading "no". You and Preston wanted a "younger" group for our O-line and now you got it, so the result is what, lots of punishment for our QB. You seem to forget that McNair couldn't even step into his throws because of the groin injury but that doesn't excuse the turnovers. Billick wasn't so keen in his play calling either, please run on 3n1 no need to throw. McGahee and Musa are doing a wonderful job running much better than Jamal but the protection has got to get fix starting now against the Jets. If any of you want to follow me to Billicks house we can jump him, hang him and his family is that what we want for a new coach to come in and have a horrible season? I just hope that Rex is up for a coaching job cause I sure don't want someone else to come in here and we have a 2-14 season than I will burn down the Inner Harbor. Guys we have to stick together...

You all are right, Ravens just were not ready to play Monday night. With Ogden coming back the O-Line was not in sync. In the preseason they had Gaither, Brown, Flynn, Chester, Terry and they played decent enough to play in the regular season. Now witrh JO back they had to re-adjust and you could tell they weren't ready because JO was playing in his first game. Then when he went down the had to move Terry to LT and insert Yanda in RT. Because BRown and Terry didn't each other like Chester and Yanda, that caused some miscommunication. If Boller played as good as everyone thinks he did then he should be ok as a starter if pressed into the starting QB. In losing Sams they lost their biggest return man. If Figurs can step in and play better than Sams then the Ravens can be OK in their return game. I don't think they can fully trust Figurs in the punt return side. If they keep Reed back there then they should do better until they can fully trust Figurs. In the long run Figurs should remind a lot of people of Dante Hall. We all remember what Hall did to the Ravens in the past when he was with the Chiefs. Hopefully Ray Lewis triceps injury was just a strain and he shouldn't miss too much time. If he did tear his triceps then he's done for the year. You have to pin this loss on the offense because of the turnovers. The defense was on the field far too long to catch there breath. With the next game against the Jets it should be an easier game. Pennington may be out for a month with a leg injury. That leaves them with a backup whomever it is so the defense might have field day with sacks and turnovers.

Ugh this is all getting kinda scary. But thats the life of a Baltimore sports fan. Im still opimistic about this team and am certain that we are still Super Bowl bound. The players cant get down on themselves now. We're still the best team in the division and oddly enough i think we sorta proved it on Monday. Were such a better team that the Bungles, that game was a fluke. GO RAVENS!!!!
P.S Im rootin for ya Boller!

All Xlnt points everyone...Just remember...WE ARE THE MOST EXCITING TEAM IN THE NFL,WIN OR LOSE...its been that way since the late 70's so in keeping with tradition, all this team can do is keep up the xlnt draft work they do, and try to keep our great coaches together,AND "hit" LIKE H***.I think the playoffs are totally do-able and EXPECT to be there. The FANS are the bestest, smartest, best looking, than any other NFL team so at least we have that EVERY week......

The season is far from over. Figurs will be exciting as a returner, and Reed is more than a capable fill-in, as evidenced Monday night. It's already been reported that Ray's injury is just a strain, although he may miss Sunday. The line will improve with time, and was actually impressive in run blocking. This game against the Jets is easily winnable without JO, Lewis, and McNair. In fact, there's no way this team shouldn't, and won't be, 6-1 when the Steelers game rolls around in November.

We need to trade for trent dilfer and trade Mcnair to the Falcons for Ovie. Ray should be released for the cap space and Ogden should go to the Redskins for Clinton Portis.

I don't know about you guys but "Coach" is now on total ignore. What a dsipschit. LOL McNair for Ovie? How dumb of a statement is that? Ovie signed for bigger dollars in ATL. If we wanted him we would have signed him in the first place.#2, if ATL wanted a QB they wouldn't start with McNair, not now especially with his latest injury. Release Ray? LOL, he was the only one producing on the field Monday night!! Ohhh forgit it, why I am responding to this doushe bag. It's gotta be a planted post by a Steeler fag anyway.

PLAYCALLING WAS HORRIBLE ON MNF. WHY BILLICK ALWAYS FINDS A WAY TO TAKE OUT OUR BEST PLAYERS WHEN THEY GET HOT IN THE GAME. WHEN THEY PLAY GOOD, HE TAKES THEM OUT OF THE GAME. LIKE MUSA SMITH ON MNF HE PLAYED GOOD, AFTER HE SCORED, HE NEVER CALLED HIS NUMBER AGAIN
