Bryant McKinnie isn't sure what the immediate future holds, but the Vikings' starting left tackle has his fingers crossed.

Sometimes it takes a little more time for a person to cool down, this just may be the ticket that McKinney needs to cool his jets. He more than likely knows hes messed up in a pretty bad manner and I doubt he will be getting away with anything this time around. A four game suspension just might be the thing he deserves and he better respect that before he gets into trouble again. The next time, " if there is one " he's gonna be on the outside looking in.
In any event, I don't think the Vikes will be dumb enough to cut him or even release him. A trade would probably the best thing they could do, but he wont go cheap by any means, he's not the run of the mill Guard that most every team has, he's pretty much up and above all that and should be classified as an elite player. Its his attitude off the field that really counts. Sometimes instead of getting into a fight its best to just walk away from it before its to late.

"A learning experience." I guess he's trying to put the best face on it. A personal record of 87 consecutive starts is something to be proud of; too bad he will likely be suspended by the comish, and never reach 100 consecutive starts. Now 100 consecutive NFL starts would be something to put on your resume. But, hey, it's a lot more macho to get into a drunken brawl and clobber a bouncer with a velvet rope stanchion. If the team can get a top choice in a trade for him, they should do it in a nanosecond.

I donno. Is he a thug or just an overgrown immature boy with a lot of money? Probably both.

Personally I don't think he's that good. But he's a big left tackle with experience, which is a hot commodity. What team would trade for him knowing he might get suspended? And what could we get for him? Seems to me he's dead wood right now.

So often these thug/immature types want "respect". I don't know if that's the case with him but a man needs to earn respect by how he acts, ALL the time. Right now, by the way he acts, he's not a man. A man doesn't get in stupid trouble with the law. Plain and simple.

What a dipshit. Don't hang around at strip clubs at 6 am and this stuff probably wouldn't happen. He's not only harming himself, he's harming the team too, and I hope he realizes that and knocks that shit off.

I'd guess that if anybody steps it up and passes him by on the depth chart, shows they can play even mildly better than him, he's gone and out. I know that he deserves punishment, but I'm still hoping that he won't get suspended so that we have a better chance of winning our games.

He's been here like how long? He ought to have his $h!t together by now. He's not really all that spectacular. He has ability. You can see that if you watch him close. He's usually damn good on running plays. Pretty so-so on passing plays. He's pretty much an over-paid turd, really. But right now, he's what they have. And he is a "sevicable" LT. I damn highly over-paid one, in my opinion... He's what they have now.

"It's been a learning experience," he said. "I take it and just move on." What a freakin' idiot! You apparently this jack*** has to learn everything the hard way. After the "Love Boat" you would think he would use a little of that pea brain. If he didn't play LT, he would be GONE!! He doesn't take IT, he takes $$ and a small slap on the wrist.**** HIM!

If McClown cannot figure out that nothing good can happen at 5:00AM at a strip club at 28 years old, he will get in trouble again. If he does not seek it out, there's plenty of wacked out fans looking for their 15 minutes of fame that will more than happy to push him to his limits. He'll have to learn that his playing days at the U of Miami are over and you just cannot get by with it being a pro.

He is SH!T get rid of the thug! Way too slow and his off the field crap is way too much to deal with.
If they dont get rid of this bum then they will have to explain to other players who screw up why they dont get away with it also.

What a schlep. If he had a decent agent, he'd be doing some community service stuff right now. Show some kind of desire, to correct what he did. This guy doesn't care how he looks to other people. "I take it and just move on", Great attitude moron. Shows real class. Some people just DON'T GET IT...

If the team with its so-called "code of ethics" would have dumped him after the boat scandal they woudn't find themselves in this situation. But, hey, he's a left tackle and I guess the code doesn't apply to players that would be tough to replace.

Bryant Mckinnie does 1 thing wrong and people are pouncing on it like a bunch of starving animals for a piece of meat. he's possibly the leagues best left tackle and helps out in the community a lot. Dont forget he blocks for a team who put up 2600+ rushing yards last year. Or that hes been in and started in a number of pro bowls. So all you people who want to criticiz him remeber this... WE ALL SCREW UP.

What about a boat party a couple years ago and getting arrested in a gas station for not leaving either last year or two years ago
