Full story: Hartford Courant

NFL draft analysts say UConn 's Tyvon Branch is a rarity. A mixture of blazing speed and size makes the 6-foot, 204-pound Branch unique for a cornerback.

"Just very regular. I was undersized in all my positions. I was a linebacker and a running back at 175 pounds. There ain't too many of those. I was very regular, though, nothing special."

How does a UCONN student still use the word "Ain't"? I love how the Courant glorifies UCONN athlete-students. I statement like that should embarass any UCONN alumini and current students.

YOU should be embarrassed by your continuous bias against UCONN athletes.
BTW "I statement like that".
How do YOU not check your grammar?

What an insignificant loser this guy is. Was awful at sports and never did anything with his life. You're a jealous loser.

I was actually all state in a sport and went to college to continue to play that sport. At college I also learned that "ain't" is used by uneducated individuals who you apparently love to root for. A typical dopey UCONN fan who thinks all UCONN athlete students deserve to be attending a University, but in reality probably just graduated high school. "Ain't that the truth".

The use of "aint" does not mean someone is dumb or uneducated. In the southern U.S. the use of "aint" is common in all walks of life and is the equivalent to saying "isn't". Next time make a remark about a players skills on the field and not some gramatical B.S.. Peace.

What sport was that ... badminton? Anyway, most folks know that certain slang words and phrases such as "ain't" are cultural. I don't consider myself uneducated, but I myself use it sometimes - so what?

My guess is that it makes you feel better about yourself to rip others. Mr. Branch has obviously worked his rear end off to get to the point of being drafted by an NFL team. He should be applauded.
