DC gave up quite a bit to get an aging star. Sure, he has some left in the tank, but not much. Bill Parcells is working his magic in Miami.

I agree, but Washington didn't have much of a choice. BTW, how does a guy get wiped out for the season on the very first play of training camp?

Huh??

He's lead the league in sacks for the past 4 years. Taylor has a motor. The Skins have an immediate need for DE and Taylor fufills it.

They gave up a second, in 09 and a sixth in 10. That's not giving up too much, especially if they get 2 good years out of him. The Skins have upgraded the D-line significantly with the addition of Taylor

You're right, Washington didn't have much of a choice.

I was at camp. It was the first play of 7 on 7 drills. I didn't see what happened, but right after the first snap, Phillip Daniels was lying on the ground, holding his knee. They had to cart him off.

What made the situation even more desparate, is that in the second practice, which is closed to the public, his backup,(Erik?)Buzbee tore his Achilles.

key word being "lead" as in past tense. The guy has been in the league 11 years. His better days are beind him. He'll be a non factor in DC this year.

typical skin fan with as much intelligence when it comes to rebuilding or even building. He must subscribe to the Daniel Snyder theory: give away the whole kit and kaboodle for a quick fix. Hey, if you're Ok with it fine, we as an opposing teams fan base are happy too. He has the audacity to say "huh?" LMFAO!! what a stooge

Phillip Daniels has always been an Assette to any team that he has played for, even during the times that he has suffered injuries. He will be missed as a player and Remembered as a TRUE REDSKIN

what do you mean they didn't have a choice? They could have picked up someone else a hell of a lot younger for the price they paid.

Typical Baltimoron, calls Jason Taylor old after 11 years but still thinks Ray Lewis is good rather then teh pile jumper he has become
Good luck with your 6-10 record and a QB who couldnt figure out the Villanova Zone Blitz

Newsflash, Ravens fan here, Ray Lewis is past his prime. Anyone giving up what DC gave up for Taylor to acquire Lewis is nuts. I'd never give that up for Lewis now. I can only see a team needing to fill seats doing something that dumb or in the case of Snyder, for show. Good luck with your QB Mr Collins LMAO.

Well, I wrote "didn't have MUCH of a choice". When two DL go down, chances are you'll need to replace at least one of them. They chose Taylor, not surprisingly.

Yeah hows that stellar Dan Cody 2nd round pick working out for you? Im betting Jason Taylor has more impact then that clown.

Of course the Ravens wouldnt trade, they need QB help, WR help, TE help, O-line help, CB help, and LB help

Good luck with 6-10

And the redskins dont need help to fill the stadium its filled every week with a playoff team not the ratbirds that are in baltimore

Yeah im sure the stadium that seats more people then your gay purple colored stadium is the worst in the NFL good one. And how many superbowls has your stolen team won - oh yeah one compared to the redskins three and the Ravens last won a playoff game when?

And im delusional take a look at the Ratbirds roster and we will see who is delusional

Redskins have better WR's, TE's, O-Line, QB, RB, LB's, CB's and D-Line then the Ratbirds could hope to have.

And if the trade is so bad why is every article talking about how the redskins got a steal in the trade. But what would you know you are just some dumb baltimoron

Fed Ex field, yes gigantic, is still a dump compared to the aesthetically pleasing M & T Bank Stadium. By the way, i don't follow the Skins, when was your last playoff victory?

Who?

Who could they have "picked up" a hell of a lot younger for the price they paid?

Name one DE with as much talent as Jason Taylor that they could've picked up.

You can't.

Who else is out there?

Taylor isn't an over the hill vet, he's in his prime and if we get a couple of good seasons out of him, it'll be worth it.

With Carter on one end, and Taylor motoring on the other, opposing defensive coordinators will have to game plan around that. Carter got doubled most of last year, and still got a few sacks. What do you do now. Double Taylor and free up Carter, or vice-versa?

I guess that we'll see when the season starts and we'll definitely see after we take over Mullet & Trailer in December.

LOL! Of course M&T is aesthetically pleasing. The Stadium authority spared no expense when utilizing taxpayer money to pay for it.

I'm a Skins ticket-holder, but I do attend Baltimore games a couple of times a year. Mullet & Trailer is a very nice stadium, and I'd love to have those Jumbotrons.
