What happened to the random Coles sighting at MIA Harvey??? That story couldn't be true.

When you look at the free agent class this year, it really wasn't anything special, unless your dumb as hell like the Washington Redskins to give $41 million guaranteed dollars to one guy where their most glaring weaknesses are on offense.

Thank Moses we have football people running the Dolphins organization that don't drool over names.

It is interesting to note that the Trifecta has ignored the CB position. We're loaded at safety with big $ and have no quality CB's.

I thought the object of free agency was to get better. Why would the Fins give Carrey (an average offensive lineman) such big $ and 5 years when they could have franchised him for 1 year and groomed his successor - preferably someone with more potetnial. In the last 4 years, Carrey has yet to make the Pro Bowl. Can you say "overated" -- Same with Crowder - no gib play capability. Why not spend more on a better LB. Resigning medeocre players to long term deals is not progress..........

This is right up there with some of the greatest, most thoughtful sports commentary of all time.

The reality is that the New Jets are bumbling, stumbling, poorly run organization.

The vast majority of their first round draft picks are abject busts. They stretch their salary cap to the limit on over the hill players. They have no vision for the future.

I think the biggest problem with the Jets organization is that they will always be the redheaded stepchild of the New York / New Jersey metropolitan area.

They will never be the Giants. They will forever be the 2nd team in New York. Of all the New York teams, without question, the rank on the bottom as far as fan identification.

That's why their fans are so shallow. Its because they know their own futility.

Agreed!!!! BAD MOVES. No real impact in FA. Plus, they are depleeting their cap space for the real gems that will be left at the end of FA.

JET FAN - Bart is sooooo overated! The only reason he had good numbers was because he played for #2 deffense in the legue. Wait until he joins the misfits called the J*E*T*S. Just like your high rated #1 pick, Gholston. Did he even play last year...LoL.

Just will be 6-10 this year. 4th in the division. Mark my words.

I think your first post was very astute. The AWfulins are spending up all thier cap money on mediocre non impact players. I differ with you on the Jets they have beaten both superbowl teams Arizona and Pittsburg over the last two years and an undefeated Titans team. They have 7 probowlers and now they have a very good coach. Last year the chemistry wasn't there with Mangini and Farve.
I look for that talent to turn around and play solid football this year.
Bart is another good linebacker and probowler teaming up with Harrison.
The JETS will be 1st or second in the division. The Awfulins are on the way down. They aren't getting quality free agents and you don't build a team by picking 25th. I said it before and i'll say it again they plan was 3-4 yrs to build through the draft except i'm sure they didn't plan on a 11-5 that's a setback.
If they wanted success now they get brown & bart, they're going with cheap stuff. It's pretty evident they're not serious about competing by paying $$ to resign guys who were't really that good. They're just trying to hold ground until they build the team through the draft. So you losers are going to be disappointed when they don't sign players you would like them sign. Expect to be 3rd or last in the division next year.

I couldn't agree more. We need to upgrade, not pay tons of $ for players that haven't made the pro-bowl and are at best solid players, but nothing special.

Miami needs to learn to get VETERANS on this team. Not peoples third string garbage or some washed up rookies who got injured in the combine. If they sign FAGG, then you have to question this front office. The fact that we let a good center go out the window to sign a third string piece of garbage is disgusting. I think it would be best for the WR corps to get a VETERAN to learn instead of some piece of crap that no one else even cared to consider.
