Heavy load, heavy load, I got rid of my heavy load. Vick was expected to carry the falcons team. It had become built around him. He was exected to carry the falcons team. They blamed him for thier losses even when he did not have the needed support. That wasn a heavy load to carry.
That type of load should not be placed upon one person. It should be a shared effort. I too agree a team should not be built around one person. Vick loved and continues to love the falcons. Vick emphasized and continues to emphasize that his major concern focuses upon getting Vick the individual together and not Vick the football player. Vick was Vick the football player and not Vick the individual. The two were not the same. Those who knew him emphasized Vick's favoriate enjoyment was sitting and playing computer games. His immediate return to Virginia at the completion of each season was a type of escape although rather foolish. Please don't push such a heavy load uopn Ryan. He will be unable to carry it. What happened has provided Vick an pportunity to rid himself of that heavy load and become Vick the individual which he desires most to be. I don't know what the future holds for Vick but it at least he will no longer be required to carry that heavy load. Some might say he lost everything but sometimes it losing everything an individual gains what is most important. Rather than condemn Vick I empathize with him. |

He may have thought he was carrying a heavy load before, but that was nothing compared to the load he'll be carrying now. Football didn't make him a criminal. His behavior started way before his career in football. And according to many his "I can do no wrong" attitude was his downfall. He had every opportunity to become everything he wanted to be, more so than alot of more deserving and choose to throw it in the trash. It looks to me like that's probably where he belongs as well.

I would like to see if he got rid of his heavy ego to become a mature responsible person. Anyone can come out of prison bitter, hating whitey, hating anyone who they thought stood in their way. It happens in our penal system every second every day. The revolving door goes round and round. Or he could truely accept responsibility for his actions and become an example for his kids and show others maybe gansta isn't really that cool. That would include,of course NOT abusing animals.
