Full story: Newsday

The Jets may be 1-7, but that's only one-seventh of what's going on. So said general manager Mike Tannenbaum earlier this week, assessing his team's progress halfway through what so far has been a forgettable ...

Tannenbaum and Mangini should go in to politics next. They can fill up a few paragraphs each day while saying absolutlely nothing. At some point each of them need to take some accountablility for this season and tell us how they are going to turn it around.

I am pissed too, but I think if Tangingi learned there lesson(arrogance, ie Revis negotiations, Kendall), and will put winning above bloated egos, and really know there football, we may only be 4-5 players away from a rebound, consider trading the 4-5th pick next yaer unless hes a stud we really need)?(Dorsey-LSU), get multiple low 1st high 2nd picks(less $), rebuild the OL, DL, start moving around players now for next year. Elam/revis/Rhodes solid secondary, add a LB, we might be ok.

MT you are a jackass as well as your hc of the nyj. no one is a fan in a dismal losing season like this and you should have swallowed your pride when you had the chance to pay kendal and move on. If you or coach mangini (jackass)
wish to clear the air, speak up and take responcibility for the snow flake that started the avalanche (of losing). If neithor of you football genious's noticed durring your 10 and 6 season last year the O line kept pennington CLEAN.
Whether or not his arm and body is shot he never had a chance being thrown around like a ragdoll this year. Call a spade a spade. The fish stinks from the head. to tell the publick that theres good in 1 and 7 when the coaching is so bad. the play calling has been stupid and you guys want to take positive credit for turning a well oiled machine to a bunch of individuals who look no more prepared to play as to win? In the words of your mentor, "you are as good as your record says you are" in the case of the 2007 j e t s? NOT VERY GOOD!

This idiot has got to be kidding. I would fire him today for making such ridiculous comments. He sees progress?
He likes the direction of the team? They have one of the worst defensive lines in the NFL. It's going to take years to rebuild it. I never want to see Ellis or Robertson again after this year. They need to get a pass rush. What happened to brian thomas? They gave him a big long term contract extension last year and the guy is invisible. By the way I never hear any comments from the experts about D'brickashaw making the pro bowl. Another great Jets draft pick.

I am all for the youth movement. I would rather lose with youth than with unproductive veterans.
That being said, remind Mr. T what his mentor Bill Parcells always said; "You are your record."

I love Chad but we need to see what Kellen can do as a starter for an extended period of time. This also might actually bring back to life Justin McCarreins. His role is basically as a deep passing threat except that was never utilized. Say what you want about Chad's arm the playcalling regardless has been horrible. I don't know how much it will open up with Kellen behind center, but they better open it up completely otherwise they are doing the same injustice to him as they did to Chad.

Thomas Jones has been under utilized completely and there is no excuse for this. The defensive playcalling has been horrible this year as well. The Jets went from a disrupting defense last year, that attacked from every angle to a passive defense. There is no reason for that.

Hopefully Kellen is the real deal and the Jets can use that pick on a disrupting force to put on the DL next year. I hate to say it but I think Vilma and some others will be traded who don't fit into this scheme. Soon as Mangini gets all the pieces for this scheme, he'll end up leaving and a new coach will switch to the 4-3 and then the players will be out of position once again.

Delusional. Absolutely delusional. If Tannenbaum is "happy where the program is", then perhaps he should stop hanging out with Andy Reid's kids.

is he kidding me? positves? at 1 - 7 and growing. the only fn positve is that we will have a top 3 pick in next yrs draft... is there a stud lineman or pass rusher in college coming out? and think about it we have had hardly any injuries and if there was another 4 minutes in the miami game left we would have lost that one too....

This is politburo garbage. I'm a life long Jets fan and these guys are losing me. Be human. Stop the BS, everything is tracking garbage. It is not. This is a major setback. The defense stinks and the o-line stinks because you were so arrogant in handling Kendall. You made an arrogant decision letting him go. You need talent & good coaching. We have neither.

Daily Horoscope for December 11

Pisces

The last thing you want to do is to picking over every little thing. Instead, you have one eye permanently on the clock and you're trying to cram as many activities into the day as possible. This will be good fun and you'll enjoy keeping up the momentum, but beware of a possible tendency to become reckless or to try to cut corners in order to save time, because this will be self-defeating in the long run.
