Broncos lose to Steelers 28-10

Full story: Fox 31 KDVR

Rarely has playing it safe paid off so well for the Pittsburgh Steelers. Tyrone Carter started in place of safety Ryan Clark as a precaution Monday night and made the big play that sparked the Steelers to their fifth straight win, taking the first of his two interceptions 48 yards for a touchdown in Pittsburgh's 28-10 win over the Denver Broncos.

It looks like I was right about Orton all along. Thanks a lot Broncos. I finally took time off to enjoy the first full game this season and you played like losers. You played like losers and you lost like losers. Thanks a lot. I should have kept on working.

PI...I am dissappointed too. That 6-0 start got everyone in a frenzy. They were gonna lose a few...I was hoping for not back to back...and we never lose on Monday night.

Our schedule is still weak enough that we should be playoff bound.

Our QB of the future will be coming up so be patient...Orton is just filling a role for the time being.

Morning Dave...Yup, it's bad enough to lose back to back games, then to lose on Monday night and not only that, but to lose at home...Just turn that 12" dagger they just plunged into my back.

And if all that wasn't bad enough, this was the first game of the season I actually watched from beginning to just before it went 28-10.

I'll never understand why, why when a QB is NOT getting the job done, the coach will not replace him in mid-game. Is McDaniels afraid of hurting his feelings? The game is about winning, not about one player's feelings. Brandstater is not getting the playing time he needs to keep up to speed in case he is suddenly needed...LIKE NOW!

...It's going to be tough out there today...Rush hour..200,000 really short-tempered motorists...I'm going to have a terrible day...

A repeat of last year, which added up to costing Coach Shanhan his job.
When you lose this big in the 2nd half, you have more than QB issues.
I'm still getting grief at the office for supporting Cutler, which is only one of the many things missing in the 2nd half.

Here comes San Diego like last year.

Denver, in making the trade with Chicago, now has a Chicago connection... welcome to Chicago results.

Orton is a good journeyman QB. He is familiar with being "sat down",(and that was after he had WON a number of games). He is a team player which is one of his many positives as a player and as a person.

Unfortunately, your Broncos and our Bears are heading in the same direction, and I believe that it can be laid at the feet of coaching.

In the case of your team, it is most likely youth and inexperience, in the case of the Bears it is incompetence and timidity. Your coach will grow older,(and hopefully for your team), wiser. As long as the McCaskey family stays with the current coaching crew, the Bears will continue to fail.

Coaches don't play the game and it is the players that provide victories, but poor coaching and poor game plans, even if well executed, guarantee defeats.

Denver fans, as a long-suffering Bear fan, I feel your pain.(We'll still take Marshall if yuou want to give him up!)

Dave, we traded away a pro-bowl franchise QB who beat a number of team records Elway set, as a rookie, to temporarily fill a role?

CHI is struggling and Cutler is also throwing ints, but I still believe with the right offensive line and coaching he was the future of the position, look at Marshall...

I know it's easy to jump off the band wagon, that’s why I stayed off of it.

I don't know why we people get charged up to pay and watch the NFL. It does nothing for us in our personal lives. Regardless whether we attend a game or watch at home. We over pay for the tickets, the food and drinks. We get blasted with Advertisements when we watch on TV. To add insult to injury, we ALREADY PAY FOR CABLE OR SATELLITE TV. But these days we see more advertising now then ever before. Everything is way too comercialized. Where is the fun anymore? I went to the local park the other day and watched a little league game for free. I actually enjoyed watching the little guys play FOR NOTHING more than watching the NFL. To me, there is something refreshing about watching young kids play for the fun of it rather than a bunch of OVERPAYED ASSHATS showboat on National TV. Screw the NFL.

Because you idiot, Orton was having a a really good first half untill he decided to play catch with Pittsburgs defence. You cant blame one man for a complete melt down of a whole team. Once the Steelers established a runing game your defence could not adjust. and when the Steelers took away your running game, the "Big Blitz" was on. All of you Donkey fans are quick to blame one person when football is a team sport. That is why the steelers are such a successfull team and have been for many many seasons. lern to suport your team through good and bad. GO BLACK AND GOLD!!!!!

While I agree with much of what you say or at least I have expressed those sentiments about advertising...why post this on a football related string?
