Jeff Garcia doesn't plan to warm bench for Oakland Raiders

I guess Garcia forgets the quarterback who beat him in December and knocked his team out of the playoffs. Garcia is ridiculous.

I think Jeff Garcia is the perfect guy to push JaMarcus. Garcia is somebody that has made the most of what he has with not a whole lot of natural talent. Hopefully JaMarcus can see what he needs to do to get the most out of his god given ability.

I think it was more Michael Bush and the running game that carried us in that win, or was it the collapse of Monte Kiffin's defense after he announced that he was leaving to join his son Lane at the university of Tennessee? Then again, Russell did have a better passing game than Garcia during that game and Russell made critical throws when it counted in that game and Garcia didn't. We'll see what happens.

I agree...JRock wasn't the difference maker in that game...however...Anyone who thinks Garcia should start over Jrockk is nuts....We have to stick with JRock...He needs to grow as a starter not a back up....If he pulls it together....he will offer much more than Garcia can...they are farily even right now....and JRock will only get better....Garcia's best years are behind him....

It can't be decided until the season starts. If Russell is struggling to get anything going, then we need to try Garcia. Russell is the future of the franchise and if he can't get the job done and Garcia has to come in, then Russell will have to go at the end of the season and we will need to draft a new QB for the future. Putting Russell on the bench will be a step backwards but if he ends up there it will because he failed to get the job done.

3 to 4 games to have JRock show he is moving in the right direction...if he is getting worse then you pull him....but he needs to have at least 3 or 4 games to show what he can do....even if he is struggling in preseason....sometimes you have to let a QB work out the kinks....
looking forward to the season....can't get here soon enough.

whats up RF1, i agree with letting him play through out. collins and young are going through the same thing in tenn. but russell is no v young. russell, just needs to continue to play to get "even" better. he would have to be really awfull to be pulled out with in three or four games.

I agree with both of you. This is a make or break season for him and if he doesn't show anything in the first 5 weeks, then it's time to see what Garcia can do. Russell needs to develop if we are gonna have any hope for the future, but as I've said before I care more about winning that who the QB is and if Garcia can win games for us then go with him, but I'm hoping Russell comes through and we have a winning franchise this year. RAIDERNAITON 2OO9!!!!
