Nick in Hate Island, your friend Mario was let go because he was ripping off his servers tips. I can tell you are a miserable human being that hates everyone. I can just see you and you are 500 pounds surfing the net and lying in a stinkin bedroom. You will never be good enough to kiss the boots of Ina Garten.

I think Ina Garten/Barefoot Contessa is outstanding. So she is good at what she does, and elegant, which I think is why some of you writers miss the whole concept. Elegance, niceness, and a very talented cook, not to mention having to do all this in front of cameras...... Ina you're great

If you think she is so great can you explain why she could not take time to meet with a little boy who has cancer and his make a wish wish was to cook with her. Not only once but twice she blew him off. Very nice Ina I only hope what goes around comes around. And for all of you who like her shame on you.

The Make-a-Wish Foundation had to break some bad news to a 6-year-old cancer patient this week ... when Food Network star Ina Garten informed them she was too busy to cook a meal with a boy, Enzo, diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia.
Enzo told Make-A-Wish ... he really wanted to cook with the "Barefoot Contessa" host because he would often watch the show with his mother while resting in bed.
A member of Enzo's family says the 6-year-old is heartbroken ... and asked parents, "Why doesn't she want to meet me?"
Ina's team responded with a "definite no", citing scheduling conflicts.
We all know how much she can't stand kids, but this is beyond words!!!!!!!!!!

I hope the fat shit chokes on a chicken bone. A chicken bone from the best chicken money can buy of course. Only the best for Ina the fat shit.... I am sorry for the fat remark but I really don't like her. She is a wast of space.

i have a hate/love for ina. i luv her recipes, i luv the "simple" elegance her show puts forth, but as for her, she seems so fake! her friendships, marriage, her "coolness." im sure her husband luvs her cooking and wealth, but come on, hes gettin it from some young, skinny pretty little thing somewhere else. and has anyone seen the espisode where she prepares a meal for the workers who are constructing her mill or whatever. ugh! im sure the full grown men thought her centerpiece of paint brushes and little tools were lame. i sure did. she could be so pretty if she lost several hundred pounds. but i guess being rich, fat and stuck up go hand in hand. luv you ina! keep cooking, thats all your good at.

There's a reason to use the 'best' vanilla, pepper etc. It tastes better, dumbass. If you want to continue eating shitty food don't watch Ina and put on Sandra Lee, but there's nothing wrong with being a little bit PRETENTIOUS (that's how you spell it btw) when it comes to what you cook with. And often things are only a few dollars more and still cheaper than eating out. But you probably think Cool Whip is awesome.

To Good Vanilla, I agree w/you and Ina that if you invest in "good" ingredients your cooking will taste better:)However Cool Whip is one of my personal guiltiest pleasures!!!! Do you think I need a 12 step program to help me with that?:)

I can't believe I read about 10 pages of hatred and vitriol you people should be ashamed of yourselves. I am in Australia and have watched Ina since our tv network had enough insight to bring her wonderful cooking show 'down under'. I have tried many of her recipes and they have become favourites in our household, like her Potato salad, I get asked for that recipe every time I make it, and her Halloween Chocolate slab cake is to die for. The Sagaponack pudding is another favourite I could go on and on. I am so very grateful that someone like Ina has shared her talents with many and that she has opened her home and invited us in. To think this is the way that you losers in here repay her, it is a disgrace to read some of the comments. Those that have said disgusting and hateful things about her weight are the very reason there is so much bullying in the world today, you are 'cyber bullies' the kind of people that drive others to suicide, I hope that you never experience that kind of hurt. My mother passed away 4 months ago but I am so glad she taught her children how to be kind and how to treat each other, I fell sorry that your mothers never taught you those values. I once heard someone say 'never trust a skinny cook' and there is a lot of truth in that. Thank you Ina for all that you have taught me, for your wonderful recipes, for your generosity in welcoming us into your beautiful home each day, God bless you and your Jeffrey and keep cooking, food really is a blessing and we should offer thanks for such bounty and for the wonderful gift on how to prepare and cook it in the most gorgeous way. You are the BEST!

She's no fatter than the rest of America. And honestly, I wouldn't trust the food advice from a skinny chef anyway. Like Giada...so skinny and beautiful, but her food is boring. It only makes sense that a person who knows how to make good food also enjoys eating it.

Ina is chubby BUT so are many other 63 year old females.Adding to that she is also very short. Ron said it best that she is no fatter than the rest of America:( Most people know that eating food like Ina's that is rich luxurious and rather decadent should only be done in small portions once in a great while or you will wind up weighing a ton:) I LOVE rich foods but I put on weight from eating what I wanted and sitting on my behind! Now in order to lose that weight I have given up the "good" stuff and replaced them with tons of veg...fruit..water and walking:( I LOVE Ina though....and her food and show are the BEST on Food Network which I stopped watching when I decided to lose weight!!!!!!

andrea wrote: maybe Pat should learn how to spell properly before criticizing others. There is no "c" in pretentious. Duh!!! <quoted text> Was thinking the same thing. And just because Ina G. is wealthy and films from the Hamptons and drives a BMW to the market does NOT make her a bad person. Suck it up--some people are wealthy and you don't need to hate them for that (though it seems to be pretty prevalent here in the U.S.).

You are the BEST! Well said!! Your post is BEAUTIFUL. People need to be nicer, for sure--and obviously, they hide behind their computers and vent their meanness in this way. Your mother raised you right. I love watching Ina and the dishes she makes are outrageous, but never with over the top unattainable ingredients, bless her heart. Adore her show - it is so soothing and relaxing, and I love her kitchen and her home. She's simply lovely.

sbm wrote: <quoted text> My, my, terrible to be an educated, financially comfortable person. Much more preferable to be an uneducated reverse snob, with very little brain function and lots of envy. Yes, that's what makes 'real americans' so real. Really? After all, I'm sure most people would prefer living in a double wide to a cottage in South Hampton. Give it up - at least learn the difference between products, so you then can dismiss anything 'good' as elitist. FANTASTIC!! I AGREE!! This mentality to resent the wealthy MUST STOP. Someone recently said that years ago you would see a neighbor ride down the street in an expensive car and would say "look at Mr. Williams' beautiful car! He must be doing well, good for him." Now they say "Look at that show-off, why does he need that expensive car?" Let's get back to the old days and say "good for you, you're doing well! God bless!" Oh yeah, and not try to take it away from him - Government, are you listening??
