been there three times. slow service when i sat outside and there were very loud drunks inside the other two times. not a very nice place for the family to enjoy with the boozers. it's suppose to be for all people. great view. food 50/50. will try it again in six months.

Food is terrible, employees are not friendly at all and I agree with the drunks

I used to take my family there when they come to visit. The view is so nice-but after this last time, all of us agreed that we will not go there again. The service was terrible-our salads were never brought, food was poorly cooked, and yes, the drunks were present.
It is such a shame that Colonial Beach always ends up driving families away. I am worried that maybe the town really is just for the drunks and the old people. Oh-but my 90 year-old grandmother won't eat at High Tides again!

I agree. The food is overpriced and gross. The atmosphere doesn't help.

We had dinner there the other night, and food an service lacked a lot. Green beans were soggy, been cooking for days. Baked potato was not done.
Fried shrimp was OK. Tea was weak. We had to keep calling our server to ask for more tea, etc. server never came by to see if we needed anything. Yes the loud drunks were in the back whooping it up. I wont go back either.
Very overpriced.
If I want bad food, I will stay home and cook it myself.

we went there again this weekend and the food was just ok this time and we ran into those drunks everyones talking about. is there any place thats really good to eat at C.B. What does everybody think about dockside? I went there a few time and had some pretty bad food but am thinking about trying them again.
happy clam seemed to be real good when it first opened but lately not so good?

My opinion is Dockside has the best food. If you can balance the plate on the ricky tables. Dining Room is great, the tables do not move. They have very reserved drunks.
Happy Clam not as good as it used to be. Lots of frozen food. No drunks at all. Prices are up. But then everything is going up everwhere.
High Tides need a lot of changes, not good at all, they were wonderful When they first opened. No wonder they have the drunks, they wont eat the food. High Tides is such a beautiful place.
Sandcastle has the best sandwiches, and real Ice Cream, in town. Prices are very reasonable.

We have tried High Tides on a couple of occassions, but the food lis very pricey and not that great. The service is lacking as well. They have a great location and a great view, but if you don't have the food or the service why would you want to go back. Why isn't there any where to take the family to eat any more. Happy Clam was good when it was on Rt 205, as well as when Parkers was open. What ever happened to places like that? What is Colonial Beach coming too?

I was wondering myself, is there a good restaurant in CB? I asgree about SandCastles, last time we had guests we went there for a quick lunch and it was good. They have great burgers and fries. But when people come to the Beach they do want seafood. I guessthere really isn't a good place to get it here?

I agree Fat Freda's is not worth the price to put up with that man and his plumber butt. You sorta lose your appetite, when you see who fixed your sandwich.

I don't care for High Tides, View is great but everything is frozen and tastes the same. they have a happy hour so don't go in there than. Loud Drunks with nasty mouths. Dockside is very good. The stuufed flounder is to die for and the wait staff is great. Fat Freda's is good anly when certain cooks are there. the owner is a little on the trashy side. But I ignore him. I usually just do take out. Happy Clam is good but a little pricey the wait staff are very friendly and the owner is great. Sand Castles use to be really good but I think they are awful.
