OH MY, MY MOM AND AUNTS ARE DRIVING ME NUTS TRYING TO FIND ANY BOXES OF SPATINI. THEY HAVE USED THIS FOR AS LONG AS I CAN REMEMBER IN MY 47 YEARS OF BEING HERE. HOW CAN THEY DISCONTINUE THE PRODUCT WHEN SO MANY PEOPLE ARE LOOKING FOR IT. RAISE THE PRICE LIKE ALL OTHER COMPANIES DO....WE'LL PAY IT.
THANKS
JUDY
I also have used it for years, my husband is very picky, so I have made a similar mix and it tastes just about right to me and to him. If you would like some, please email me at ljbohio@aol.com with spatini as the subject and we can arrange for a free trial for you.

if anyone would like to try my mix please email me at ljbohio@aol.com. I desperately needed to do something because my husband doesn't care for spaghetti without spatini so I have something that is quite good that he is finally liking. Hope I can help I know how frustrated we all are and Lawry doesn't seem to care and there other sauce mix isn't the same.

The ingredients on the package (I saved the box) include the following ingredients:

sugar, salt onion (degydrated), potato starch, spices, natural flavors, garlic powder, maltodextin, beet powder (for color). Using this information and the suggestions from dil 6/2007, you might be able to get close to the flavors.

Marge - You can just buy Seasoning Salt at the store. On another note I still see Spatini showing up on eBay and have heard rumors that the product is still being sold at a Food Distributor in Mechanicsburg, PA. So is the product still available to food distributors? For more information visit http://www.spatini.info/

Can you buy potato starch? Or could you use the water from boiling potatoes? I miss my Spatini!

If you re-read the explanation of Lawry's reason of discontinuing spatini all they give you is corporate double talk b-s. how damn expensive could it possibly be to pkg some herbs and spices???? Clearly it's really not about price or demand.... some vp or ceo did it to make his numbers work for that month. They don't care about consumer demand at all. Know what I think?... another company should jump on this band wagon and call it something else and sell it-- the'd be heroes!!!!!!

All you need to do is package the ingredients in post #71 above.

Sorry-not the same taste. Too many unidentified spices and flavors in original recipe of spatini for anyone to duplicate.

Why even pay for it? The recipe is posted on post #71 above. Just print it out and you can make it yourself. My husband absolutely loves it, he wants me to follow this recipe at least 3 times a week!!!

My mother and I are devastated that spatini has been discontinued. We have used it for years for lasagna, and it s the only thing we use that really tastes good. Why did
they discontinue the product?

The person I talked to at Lawry`s told me annual sales of this product caused them to discontinue it from the shelves, but if enough people would call them it could be possible to put it back on the shelves again.

If we keep calling and ask to put this back on the shelves it could happen in the near future, but nothing is going to happen if we the people do nothing. This is what I was told by the lady at Lawry`s today.

I was living out of the country. I had purchased a caseload of spatini so I would have it overseas, now that I am back and cannot find it, I am devastated. How will I ever make a good meatball again.
