it is pity that simple thing as vitamin D deficiency should become life threatening. the author could have mentioned the source of vitamin D, the dosage and care requried to combine/not to combine with other vitamins, minerals or dietory supplements

First of all cancer creates jobs here in the USA. which is the reason the cancer continues. There is no difference in the cause between water, and food quality and there is no difference in the maker meaning Agriculture. Here in Brandonville Schuylkill County Pa. which is the breast cancer capitol of the world the proof is in the pudding. The news media continues like the politicians to coverup for the environmental crimes here because of the only one farm family with political ties in which the water and food grown are laddened with chemicals paid for by farm subsidies and the lies to clean up the waterways. Here studies should be done because of the high rate of breast cancer in this small agriculture nightmere community and the Twp. supervisors told me to move which leaves the homebuyer for breast cancer. Welcome to what used to be America.

A study in Finland on skin cancer mortality showed that people getting more (but not excessive or burning levels!) sun had much higher survival levels after treatment and this was correlated to Vitamin D. Two points: too much sun can cause skin damage and burning can increase risk of skin cancer.
Also: Artificial vitamin D was not tested and may not offer the same benefits (or might) as naturally produced Vitamin D that is created by sun exposure. Still, Vitamin D has benefits but when taking extra orally, be careful, mega-dose’s often do not improve results, can be useless or even harmful.
