just because they have to provide it does not mean tgax[pyers have to pay for it, and encourage it.
And the law goes way beyond emergency room treatment.
Bills will be paid by medicaid for as long as the inpatient treatment lasts.

Here is what I think.
Working Citizens should be treated better than illegal aliens.
Working Citizens in the same situation are responsible for the bills, but not the criminal illegals.

We had a doctor at one of the local hospitals bring his father over from his homeland for a visit.
Legal alien got a heart bypass surgery and medicaid paid for it, since the old man was a poverty case.

We cannot provide medical care for the whole world.
Get used to it.

This was simple a visitor (passport) from another country.
Not a citizen, not illegal.

Illegals cannot get food stamps for themselves.
They can get them, in their name, for their children who were born in the states.

And, as above, there are many types of legal non-citizens who can get food stamps.
College students from Ethiopia, for example.

One family came here as political refugees, feared for their life.
The mother got SSI, one son got a job, making 36K a year. The mother died, so the father went home (where he had feared for his life) and the three boys stayed here. The parents and younger children got food stgamps
The son making 36k got cash assistance for his two brothers, until they got college scholarships for being foreign students, and then they got food stamps for themselves.

Right on! I'm tired of footing the bill for illegals, period!

I was in a training class for medical assistance.
The chapter we were on was for non-citizens.
After about 90 minutes of going through the list, "Are they this?, or this?, or this? with detailed descriptions, one of our group asked,
"Are we going to deny anyone?"

The instructer hesitated, then answered, "Well, no, but we have to have the right coding to do it right."

Everyone is eligible, just have to be sure it comes out of the right budget.

With food stamps, actual, declared illegals are not eligilbe, but someone in the household is eligible, or claims to be, which amounts to the same thing.
