Good to see this man ditch the excess pounds. Once a man gets off the traditional southern diet he will likely lose the weight and live longer to boot.
If you ditch the southern diet early enough, or avoid it altogether, you'll enjoy a healthy lifestyle and maintain your dental health at well.
I'm not sure why southern men eat so poorly, have jacked up grills for teeth, and don't wear any belts with their tight fitting jeans.
Far from eating poorly. Fat as a hog at the sloopin I be.

Tell me and all the other people who got laid off during the wonderful Clinton years how great everything was.
If you got laid off during the Clinton years and didn't find another job it was your own fault.22 million jobs were created in the Clinton years.Com pare that with w's 8 million and going down every day.

I did get another job but none that paid what the one I got laid off from did because I was having to start over. Clinton created 22 million jobs? Where? In Mexico? Tell me another one, I need a good laugh this morning.

I try to keep my diet simple and consistent. It is based on eating less fat and more fruits and vegetables. This works for me:
For breakfast I have Fiber One cereal with skim milk and a banana. When I want a change, I subsitute oatmeal for the Fiber One.
When I go to work I bring three pieces of fruit for snacks, typically a banana, a pear and an orange. If I didn't bring them, I wouldn't think of fruit, but once you get in the habit, they taste wonderful and lift your energy whenever it's dragging.
For lunch I usually have a can of Progresso Soup, which I find very filling and satisfying. If I want something sweet afterward, I will have nonfat pudding. When I want a change from the soup, I bring a couple of sandwiches made with low-fat bread, a less-fat luncheon meat, and mustard or non-fat mayonnaise (Duke's is pretty palatable).
For supper my wife and I often find a low-fat recipe in cookbooks or on the internet. We try lots of slow-cooker recipes typically involving chicken and vegetables or stir-fry recipes that are very tasty. And we grill fish at least once a week. We usually have leftovers which can make a lunch or a supper when we don't feel like cooking.
When we go out, we often go to Chick Filat for their chargrilled chicken or we go to J&S cafeteria and pick from their healthier selections. Another favorite is Boston Market for their rotisserie chicken (get the white meat) and steamed vegetables, green beans, etc. Of course many restaurants also offer lower fat entrees.
The key I have found is to avoid butter, cheese, ice cream and other fats. They are not only fattening but addictive, at least for me. When you avoid or drastically minimize these items in your diet, fruits and salads and vegetables taste good to you.
Like anyone trying to change their habits, I sometimes have relapses. This typically happens when I change my routine or go to a social setting where eating healthy just isn't feasible. I try to limit this to one meal or one day and intensify my efforts the next day.
I hope this helps!
CONGRATULATIONS on your weight loss and THANK YOU for sharing your eating plan! As a woman trying to get back in shape and eat healthier after breast cancer treatment, I am always inspired by others who succeed and love hearing their means of doing so. Best of luck to you and your wife in your healthy eating! I hope CT will publish more stories like yours. Thanks again!

Check out the U.S. department of labor.Buy the way since Jan we have lost over 450,000.jobs.Why do you think the unemployment rate went from 6.6 to 3.9 under Clinton?Since you evidently don't know the unemployment rate means how many people are out of work. Now have another good laugh by looking in the mirror.

CONGRATULATIONS! You understood the concept of weight and loss. Too many people keep looking for a diet somewhere that tasts good, will let them eat all they want and still lose weight.

Daily Horoscope for June 4

Gemini

It's a red letter day for relationships under the Lunar Eclipse in your house of significant others, because you're facing some important and far-reaching changes to some of them. The pressure has been building since the Gemini Solar Eclipse on May 20. f you've known for some time that things aren't working out, you're about to reach a crisis point as becomes obvious that the present situation can't continue much longer. The coming New Moon in Gemini on June 19 will see progress of one kind or another, though this unusual eclipse cycle will have a far-reaching effect. You may have to be cruel to be kind, or more forceful than you would like, in order to get your point across, but do you really have any viable alternative?
