Please wait...
Losing that much weight is an amazing accomplishment, and while some ignorant people here want to laugh and make jokes, you can bet most of those people probably do not have what it takes to lose as much weight. It hit me like a rock about a year and a half ago when one of my best friends, who also happens to be a med school student, said "Look, if you don't get into better shape, you are going to die". 60 pounds later, I'm a new man, with a new look and a new lease on life, and I no longer have to take blood pressure medication. It's easy to sit on the couch and stuff your fat face with twinkies while making jokes at the expense of somebody who has worked so hard to improve her life and health. Get a life, people...go walk, swim, exercise...something, other than show your ignorance. Way to go Catie!

Free wrote: <quoted text> Id like to know why the paper allows for the privacy of people to be passed around like it's nothing. Having people who will spy for friends and give out personal information is very dangerous. I'd also like to know if this is how some people on here are able to get personal info like posters names and post them....? Maybe someone wo gets outed should see if they have any legal recourse for the potential danger they and their family were put into my the posting of names and addresses. Hey Free, dont worry, we wouldnt give out info on the posters who are appropriate. We are going after these clowns who are intentionally blowing up legitimate postings and ruining the genuine dialogue that is supposed to be occuring. Nothing wrong with opposing opinions and banterings but we arent going to stand for the offensive attacks that are non related to the subject matter. To be sure, we have found the source of the childish Tubby MC Fatty poster and a personal contact is in the works. Relax.

Catie wrote: <quoted text> **sighs and shakes my head** Okay, no I did not contact the newspaper, they contacted me. Mission hospital was sponsoring a weight loss competition and the newspaper was keeping tabs on the teams. They are interviewing the "biggest losers" and sharing their success with the community. I think I speak for everyone when I say I will no longer be dignifying your comments with responses, which I think are rude and uncalled for. Yes, I have a backside, I still maintain my curves because I am a woman! Please go shove another cheeseburger in that foul mouth of yours. Catie...my step-son is in politics. You sound like a great gal and inspirational story about weight loss. Your photos look great, the vast majority of people like what you have done. But PLEASE don't worry, don't read, and certainly don't reply to the cooks in Asheville that are negative. My step-son just laughs at the negativity and always says, "if you play with the pigs in the mud, you just both end up dirty". Carry on!

She looks so much better now and she probably worked really hard for this. Ya'll shouldn't take that away from her. You go girl! A size 12 is big for some people - not for others - you can't lump everyone into the same category - height, bone structure, etc. play a role. I am happy for this person, whether a 12 is big for her or not but everyone is different.
