I saw in the Montcross Chamber newsletter that they are having a Grand Opening today
Sample Simonetti’s Pizza At Grand Opening Today Sample some authentic Italian cooking at 5 p.m. today when Simonetti's Pizza celebrates its grand opening in the Main Street Crossings shopping center on Wilkinson Boulevard in Belmont. We'll cut the ceremonial ribbon about 5:30. Drop in to welcome Jerry Simonetti and his team to the eastern Gaston business community. The address is 6432 Wilkinson Boulevard. |

We're looking forward to giving it a try, too. Maybe we'll get there this weekend |

We ate there today. It's not bad but not great either. The pizza we had was a little bland and the bottom of it was a bit burnt.
And yes, it's paper plates and plastic knives. Not that is is necessarily a bad thing but it was kind of hard to cut the crust. Too bad, we expected a bit more. |

You eat pizza with a knife? LOL

If you like thin-crusted pizza give it a try. I had it a couple of weeks ago and loved it. I do think it's a little pricey for a whole pizza but it is pretty big. I'll go back.

My wife and I ate there last week and found it to be very good. It is much closer to NY pizza than anything around. If you like Pizza Hut, Papa Johns, Domino's, etc. then you may not like "real" pizza pies. They use only the best and freshest ingredients unlike the chain stores. We found the staff friendly and helpful. Unlike some of the posters here, we came away very happy and have recommended it to our friends and family members. We will most certainly return and wish them much success.

We tried it a couple of times - first pizza, didn't like it....second one ( with chicken and spinach) was good.I like the chain pizzas just fine - eaten for years...but Simonetti's is good if you want something different and don't mind paying a dollar or two more.I want to try some of their sandwiches. We won't eat pizza there exclusively but we will occasionally. I wish them well.

It may be closer to NY pizza... if that's what you're looking for. I agree that Pizza Hut etc. are not "real pizza pies" as you can find them in Italy but NY pizza also isn't real Italian pizza.
Anyway, we prefer either American pizza or Italian pizza. If Simonetti's is real NY pizza he will sure attract some yanks living in Belmont. |

I'll try it but my fav pizza place is Portofino's...hands down the best pizza around.
|
||||
Where is Portofino's? |
||||
|
Portofinos is in Franklin Square over my the Christian Bookstore.
I know it's not Belmont...but it's great pizza. |
