Does anyone believe this is wrong?

When it comes to "Operation Iraqi Freedom", it could easily be described as material support for terrorism, so that a foreigner could dictate who would run the government. "Shock and Awe" is a euphemism for mass terror against civilians, committed by a foreign power. It is uncertain how many died as a result, but it is at least hundreds of thousands, and most likely over a million. What for? To benefit various corporations, some of which are not even US corporations.

Military personnel are deployed throughout the world to do a job, they refrain from voicing their own political opinions and so should civilians that don't have all the facts. Please respect them and their families by keeping negative opinions to yourselves and just appreciate that there are some, such as those at Applebee's, who are trying to extend a heartfelt thanks to the patriotic few.

This is a very nice gesture to all that have served. Meals are nice, however all I ask are thoughts and prayers for those veterans (our brothers) who are still being held in North Korea and Laos as you sit down for your meal. Please reflect what they are "sitting down" to for a meal. Their sacrifice is for all of us so we can enjoy our families and lives.
God Bless Chen |

God Bless Applebees for doing this. Anything we as a nation can do to honor ALL our military past and present, should be done with sincere gratitude for their service to OUR country. Enjoy the meal, give thanks for all we have in the U.S. and pray for the safety of all fighting for us now. As the Mother of a Marine with four combat deployments to Iraq and Afghanistan, I KNOW the importance of honoring our military.

Applebee thank you for saluting Men and Women in the Armed Forces and showing your appreciation by serving us a free great meal. I am a Retired Marine who also served in Viet-Nam. Coming back to New York I have always felt Veterans of the Viet-Nam war are the forgotten ones. And Veterans of todays war are being washed away by not giving them the tools they need to get on there feet. Your kindness is hereby appreciated. As a Reminder to all. Service members job is a 7/24 day hour Job. Always on the ready to go and protect our nation our country and others against all enemies at any given time on land air and sea. I too Salute our service Members and Veterans for a job well done. God Bless us all. Thank You Applebee for Saluting our arm Forces. SEMPER FI

This is not about the political reasons of a war. This is a great gesture by a corporation to show support for the troops, not necessarily the war. They are thanking our troops for what they do. Without our troops your sorry butt would not have the freedom to express your opinion...regardless of how s t u p i d you are. |
