Pai you guo

I just received my Pai You Guo capsules today in the mail and the instructions on the box seem to be the ones for the tea...Can anyone confirm how the capsules should be taken? I heard I am supposed to take it once a day in the morning on an empty stomach. I just want to make sure.

Yes you take the capsules once a day but on my pack it didn't say rather you could eat or not but I took it when I got to work at 7 and ate a nutri grain bar and still forced myself to eat a little lunch and dinner. Still lost 7 pounds!

That's awesome! I hope my results are that good... I took my first capsule this morning about two hours before breakfast and I feel a bit hyper but its ok because I'm normally really calm...I can def use the energy boost!

I read a couple of articles on the recall of this product and I think that those with high blood pressure should not take it. I've only been taking it for 4days and lost 5lbs but I eat a small meal every 4hrs, take vitamins and exercise. I also check my blood pressure and heart rate every morning and at night which has been normal. So far the only side effects I've been experiencing are decreased hunger and increased energy(which was much needed). I don't think this product should be used long term but that goes for any diet product. Also, this product should not be used as an excuse to not eat. YOU NEED TO EAT!!!! If your body isn't being nourished properly then ofcourse any medication or diet product is likely to harm you, because your body cannot support it. I think diet products should be used as a boost and not be depended on. Many body builders take in supplements and an excess of protein to help them gain muscle but they workout. They don't just take in product after product and sit around, they know the exercise is what does it and the product just helps with the results. The same concept should be used when taking diet products.

[Posted 11/13/2009] GMP Herbal Products and FDA notified consumers and healthcare professionals of a recall of Pai You Guo, a weight loss dietary supplement, due to the presence of undeclared drug ingredients. FDA lab analyses of dietary supplements were found to contain undeclared sibutramine, an FDA-approved drug used as an appetite suppressant for weight loss; and phenolphthalein, a solution used in chemical experiments and a suspected cancer-causing agent that is not approved for marketing in the United States. The FDA has not approved the Pai You Guo products as a drug; therefore the safety and effectiveness of this product is unknown. The product is sold either in a box of 30 capsules or a bag of 10 g powder. The affected products were sold and distributed nationwide via the internet.

FDA advises that these products pose a threat to consumers because sibutramine is known to substantially increase blood pressure and/or pulse rate in some patients and may present a significant risk for patients with a history of coronary artery disease, congestive heart failure, arrhythmias or stroke.

Consumers are advised to destroy the affected products or return them to the company’s address in Westminster, CA.

the only different you will be able to sue them if something ugly happen because of the pills you are taking...and with the american health care cost, i think it s helpful...

It really works, but in regards to side effects, I've been having eyesight problems, and have 3 other friends that had perfect vision that are feeling they same thing. We all stoped drinking the tea.

i started drinking the tea about 3 weeks ago.... and so far i've lost 22lbs.... i haven't had any of the side effects that i hear ppl have that are taking the pills... i don't feel racy or hyper... i do have to force myself to eat sometimes but i thoink thats mostly b/c it makes you so thirsty that your constantly having to drink water..... but besides that i am in love with it!!!

Pai You Guo has been recalled by the FDA as it is simply repackaged Meridia and a known carcinogen laxative.

even though it has been recalled by the fda in the US you can still find chinese suppliers on the internet that sell it.... if you google pai you guo.... but if i may suggest that you try the tea rather than the pill, alot of ppl that have taken them say it makes them feel horrible( racy, jittery, can't sleep, some even say it made them feel like they were on X)
