You walk up to the window located in Chandler Square to place your order and sit on a nearby bench or walk around to enjoy. Good ice cream, huge portions, small price ***** Yes, it is lovely there.

News Hound wrote: Thanks, Screamin', for starting a thread about the best ice cream on Long Island. Very topical, tropical and timely. Bellmore seems to have the general approval of most. We were getting one in Sea Cliff between Glen Cove-Roslyn, but for reasons unknown, they took their sign down and the building is for rent again. Jack Frost in Sea Cliff just opened the other day!! Nicest ice cream store I've ever seen, they serve Hershey's ice cream & the prices are low.

How about adding to this entertaining thread by the posters also stating what is their favorite flavor? It'll be a vanilla/chocolate/rocky road poll of sorts. Good idea or no?

I wish Jack Frost had stuck it out in Sea Cliff despite their location near the corner of Glen Cove Avenue and Sea Cliff Avenue, with its poor parking access and dangerous crossing of two main streets. Try a new location in Sea Cliff, you Jack Frost execs and entrepreneurs, we would love to have you in our booming little town!

Our new Sea Cliff mayor Bruce Kennedy likes Rocky Road ice cream. Former deputy mayor Bob Haim prefers Pistachio. And elder statesman Joe Krupinski enjoys Rum Raisin. How did we find this out? By being a true News Hound, silly!

According to posters from Brentwood, the best ice cream is a pint of stale Haagen Daaz from the corner bodega.

Sea cliff avenue dangerous??? Maybe having to drive all the way to magie moos on glen cove road and northern is a better location?!??!?:-/ Also, you do realize the place is open? They just haven't done a grand opening. Ps there is tons of street parking

Jeff: When I say parking is a problem for the new ice cream parlor, I mean going west from Glen Cove Avenue toward Sea Cliff center. That's a dangerous spot to cross the street. Going east, of course, is a breeze with on-the-street parking all the way along. Don't get me wrong, I hope they are a succeess. Just as I wish every Sea Cliff entrepreneur well!
