My MOLESTER WAS MY UNCLE. When you are young you can be told anything by your parents but just as the predator can tell you anything as well. I was told that my mom wouldnt believe me and not to tell because he would get in trouble. I trusted him, he was older than me, why would he try to hurt me? He made me feel everything was ok. I didnt know until I was about 12 that it was wrong. At the age of 13 was the last time I would allow myself to be his victim anymore. I made myself stay away. Still I couldnt tell anyone cause I still didnt think that anyone would believe me. It is the worse most hurtful and horrible thing to have to live with everyday. I was able to pull it together and tell my mom 10 years after the first time. My mom was devestated and i believe she still is, she just thinks what could she have done different, NOTHING she did or didnt do made this happen. I fought the charges the whole way and this "monster" was sentenced to 7 years in one county and 8 in another to be served concurently. I came to find out that 2 of my cousins and my sister were all molested by the same man and none of us knew the other was going through the same thing. Now that I am a mother of a daughter this type of thing scares the hell out of me. I dont trust ANYONE and thats so sad because I know that just cause it happend to me doesnt mean that it will happen to my kids but I will do EVERYTHING in my power to prevent it from happening. So before you judge the parents or whoever else, you really never know who the sexual molestors are around you. These little girls will have to deal with this the rest of their lives and honestly it has been effecting me more as an adult then it did when it was happening. My prayers go out to these girls!

me personally after reading all this stuff and knowing whats going on now i dont think i can be friends with barbara anymore because now she is getting out of control and someone who lies at this level should be shot.
