these cupcakes were horrible. very dry and the frosting was too sweet

Lovely to look at but the taste is mediocre. I am a self professed cake lover and these cupcakes have no flavor whatsoever. And to top it all off they are over priced!

We agree with Linda....these cupcakes were incredible and extremely moist! They were the best cupcakes I have ever had in my whole life...hard to say which flavor was the best but the strawberry was awesome and you should at least try the elvis cupcake...we'll definitely be back.....but they prices could stand to go down a little...

Lousy cupcakes. $2.75 for a tiny cupcake that tastes like it was made with cake mix out of a box, and skimpy, too sweet frosting. The whole place looks like it was decorated on the cheap, too, and adding insult to injury, they didn't have any coffee made the afternoon we stopped by, and didn't offer to make any, even after another pair of customers asked for it. I'm sorry to be harsh, but when other places in South Tampa are dishing out a superior product, there's no excuse for this.

These cupcakes are absolutely delicious - they are moist and full of flavor! I cannot wait to try all of the flavors! I love these cupcakes!

I loved the red velvet and the chocolate chip! The frosting was NOT too sweet and it seemed as if they just came out of the oven, so fresh it melted in my mouth! I have a weakness for sweets, so it looks like I have found my newest obsession, thank you Cupcake Spot and good luck!!! Keep em' coming!

These cupcakes are off the chain... i loved all the flavors i tasted the afternoon i went. The service was superior and the people there were so nice. I love the decorations they have in the facility, makes you feel like your in a diner. I love this place, i see them growing to a multi chain store real soon!

I heart the cupcakes! Had them today for the first time and I have to say the Butterscotch was a little slice of heaven. The place smelled fresh-baked as they had just pulled some out of the oven :) I found the service outstanding- polite and friendly, with a side of humor. I thought the cupcake price was fair- especially compared to other dessert places around Tampa. I hope you continue to do well Cupcake Spot! I don't understand why anyone's complaining?

On a final note, You Should try a liquid flavor- like champagne or merlot. I think they would rock!

Sounds like to me the cupcake spot won't be in tampa long.

I spent at a place in Destin Florida. Alex I'd like to buy a clue.

I tried the small cupcakes and they were nothing special. I think that Sam's and Publix's are comparable in taste for a lot bigger cupcake for less money. Perhaps the store is struggling with consistency as it appears from the comments people either love or hate it. Also with Wright's down the street, you can get a wondrous huge slice of cake that will feed four people for a $1.25 more. I can take that slice of cake home and share with my entire family! I am glad for those who like it, but I will not return.

I do not think that Moni should be insulted for sharing her experience! Nor should South Tampa Middle-aged women (and I am not one) be insulted as the shop is in South Tampa and those are the people this business needs to make a profit. The only way you can call her a liar means that you were present during her visit. Were you there?

In a time when all businesses are struggling and gas is at record high prices, service, presentation and value are the big things that determine whether people want to spend money on "luxury" items! Good Luck!

This just goes to show that people in South Tampa will buy anything.

I thought they were better than Magnoia Bakery in New York! Especially love chocolate chip and strawberry! They are also the perfect size and have adorable frosting. They are designer cupcakes which appeals to some people but not all. The people complaining about the price just need to buy their cupcakes at the grocery store.

Why are so many people being hateful about South Tampa? It's feedback on cupcakes for heavens sake. Some are good, some not so much. We bought a dozen that looked gorgeous. Taste was okay. Nothing exceptional. Price in line with gourmet. Mount Dora's are better and New York, the best.
