A Crackdown on Bake Sales in City Schools

this has to be the biggest jackass rule ever!!! has liberals and the rest of the wacko groups gotten this stupid??? what a bunch of total fools!! and to think that our schools go along with this!! maybe fox news need to check into this one as well! they are the only ones to take any action!! with the wackos out there!! this is just bullsh_t !!!

Most LI schools have banned all homemade goodies from schools.Reasons are possible peanut allergies,unclean kitchens and "unsafe" ingredients.Instead school cafeterias sell adult chicken meat disguised as nuggets,poppers or tenders.

They banned sex, drugs and knives decades ago.

No problem! Just drag the little felons to the principal for unauthorized possession of peanut-butter cups!

This ban is nothing about food allergies (others may be but not this one). This is about fat kids and is a waste of time. If parents keep feeding their kids McD's 4 days a week they are going to be ovverweight. I think there are a lot of other issues more inportant then bake sales!

Gym 3 days a week? No way. There are a lot of kids who just aren't into that kind of activity, and that causes a lot of tension with other students. Not every kid enjoys gym class, so making it 3 times a week is a horrible idea.

Being a Long Island gal I thought all NY schools had that in place already--I guess city schools do not?
