I posted it on both my blogs. I give up trying to write e-mail addresses for these. Go to the home page for the Sentinel (orlandosentinel.com). Scroll down and on the left side of the page you will see a heading for "Sentinel Blogs.''
Hit the drop down menu, and under "Newest Blogs'' you will see Mike Thomas Outdoors. Click on that and then hit Go. It's worth it. You can use the same basic recipe for ribs too.

Nuclear weapons have too much of a carbon footprint. We'd have to use some kind of biological device.

Once cloned meat starts hitting the groceries and restaurants I see a strong uptick in vegetarianism. That is if Americans are smart enough to figure out what cloning is. Sometimes I wonder.

Not to mention the lab-grown meat we will see. Does that sound disgusting yet?

Yet another stupid article.

How many of you realize, that RIGHT NOW..there's a ton of scientists working on systems to make 'fuel from algae'???

That's right.
Many strains of algae are upwards of 70% oil......oil that can be run as SVO in diesel systems, or as biodiesel.

Yet this algae NEEDS high concentrations of CO2 to grow.

Imagine this....not 10 years from now...there are private companies...whose 'job' it is....to remove the expensive 'environmentalist-forced 'scrubbers' off of the power plants....so that the CO2 produced from them, can be pumped through the algae farms and used as nutrients!

Amazing....people who make the news always seem to be so short sighted on the REAL solutions.....

I actually envision a not too distant future...where scientist say that we need to 'create more pollution' to help the environment!---because we're utilizing all the 'bad stuff' to make our own fuel !

Oil from algae is good, but you have to keep the Oil co's from getting it.Same with soy diesel or any alternative fuel.keep it out of the greedy Oil co hands.I do not think the raising of cattle is our our main problem with the environment! I have never heard such Bull!If you eat whole grains ect,or boca burgers, which are made from soybeans if will be healthy for you.You still need land to grow these! So ther goes your green pastures for your nature lovers to smell the flowers!Who probably smoke their cigaretts and drink their beer our wine on a outing to the country and leave their trash behind for the land owner to clean up!

Are cows the only polluters? How about bulls, steers, and calves? Believe they also fart a lot. Also, fat women have the reputation of excessive farting. BTW, early settlers, cowboys, and Indians all used buffalo chips as fuel for fires. So guess it is no surprise that folks have discovered cow chips are a good substitute for buffalo chips. Thinking about opening up The Cow Chip Saloon in Orlando to compete with the Buffalo Chip Saloon in Colorado Springs, CO.

Very old news that needs to be brought back into the light from time to time.
Obviously the planet can't handle the population load we've placed on it. Since cultures depend on sustained population growth, things can't get any better until nature forces the matter.

You neglected to mention that cooked red meat has also been linked to increased cancer risk.
I wouldn't eat a meal without red meat in it when I was younger. Now, I've gotten the habit down to every month or two. Ahh, nothing quite like a good steak at Ruth Chris.

Yeah, and next year they should figure out cold fusion also.

It's great you can run your truck off the oil from the neighborhood wing shack, but they don't have enough oil for all 200 million cars in the US. Nor will this algae idea scale up to work for all of us.

When it comes to meats, I am all for making them less fatty and even pushing fast food places to serve leaner sandwiches. This is doable as technology advances. But forcing people to eat meat meals made out of manipulating vegetables with no taste is torture to hard working people trying to survive. We must not turn into a world without any rewards. there is a lot to be done that will not remotely affect our lives for pleasure before we get to this point. These ideas the last few decades are slowly turning the earth into a prison.

And with NO research....you just toss out the baby with the bathwater.

Guess what. It's NOT that there's 'not enough' for everyone. It's that NOT EVERYONE will make the investment needed!

A recent study and paper showed how...in JUST Alabama...they could utilize less than 3% of their land mass to produce enough oil from this technology TO COMPLETELY UNPLUG the ENTIRE STATES' NEED for petroleum fuel.

The PROBLEM...is that good ideas are TOO QUICKLY dismissed by people like you...instead of researched.

That's ok.

Almost 5 years ago I started researching my system. And UNLIKE YOU...I went into it with the mentality of; "what IF I could make this work...what would I need to learn, do, invest, and accomplish". And throughout the entire process, what I learned...is that MOST PEOPLE...have your negative mentality. And it leaves them helpless...useless...and CRIPPLED.

So. Go ahead...hang onto that mindset.

No doubt you'll be voting for Obama or someone else who is BALL FACE LYING that they will "solve your problems" for you.

Hrmph....just another stupid lemming.
