Irish Fest draws more than 40,000

The Irish Fest is a fantastic event, BUT....
do you know what's going to ruin it?
Tell the Frankfort Town Cops to stop harassing every one who drove to or drove away from the event. Trying to generate money for the town through V & T ???? Even the State Police kept a very low profile... Most of the V & T monet goes to the State, anyways. It would hurt the Town of Frankfort and the County of Herkimer if the Irish Fest committee pulled out and held it somewhere else. The town police should have kept their hands off of it.

So the cops are supposed to allow folks to drink and drive?

What do you expect a bunch of Irish people to do? Collect 4 leaf clovers?

I agree that the town police spend way way way too much time on 5S, however to suggest they should look the other way while an event known for drinking and not leaving on foot is going on, well, thats just plain stupid. I will give you a bit of advice PEZ. Pay your taxes dirtbag,until then keep your opinions to yourself because you have no right to say anything when you are being a bum and not paying taxes. For someone like you, you really have no right to comment about anyone, get over yourself, you are nothing, your "magazine" is a joke and so are you. I emailed the people running the Irish fest, told them there was no way I was going to pay the admission charge without knowing what kinds of foods they offered, and I didn't receive a reply. We saved our money by skipping it and went to a couple Irish festivals in Syracuse that offered free admission. The better of the two was the one at Clinton Square.

We had 40 people!

I snuck in cause i aint got any monoey not set aside for crack or lube but i ate 40 peoples worth of food myself and i couldnt tell ya if it was good cause i swallow it in large amounts without tastin but it filled me up!

Live bands from noon til 11 PM, Gaelic football and rugby matches, music and language workshops, etc...how could you even expect to get all that and more for no admission charge? I'd say getting all that for $20 (cost of a 3-day pass) is a steal. One of the best things Frankfort has going, IMO. As for food, it's typical fair/festival food (pizza, fried dough, sausage and peppers, gyros, etc) plus a few places selling corned beef, shepherd's pie, Irish stuff like that.
