You are absolutely right that people have the right to whatever opinions they want, no matter how stupid those opinions might be. You are absolutely mistaken though in thinking that people whose basic civil rights are being jeopardized by idiots like the Chik-Fil-A boss are just going to sit idly by and dismiss active bigotry as "just an opinion."

"Just an opinion" works as an excuse if there is nothing on the line. "Just an opinion" works if there is no one that is being hurt by the statement or action. "Just an opinion" might work if LGBT citizens were already granted full legal equality in the USA, and differences of opinion didn't jeopardize anyone's right to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.

If you don't like it, remember it's "just an opinion."

I expect nothing less from Chic Fil A. They are a Christian organization who stand for their beliefs. Christianity and homosexuality do not go together. If you try to tie the two together then you might as well start your own cult because you just made your own religion. I do not have hatred for homosexuals. I hope that if it were possible they would repent from their sexual sin.

Aside from their good food and pleasant staff just one more reason to patronize Chick-Fil-A.
