Actually...angry old BEARMAN... I was just in afton last week and I love it. wonder why you are so angry? are you this angry about everything? hmmmm. BearManNorth wrote: <quoted text> Well my friend, being from MPLS, it must have been a long time ago you`ve traveled to Afon. Downtowm Afon is "yuppieville/wine-bar/art s and farts" now. The old afton is long gone. Just check it out, but bring a lot of cash and you to can walk along the river bank and sip wine at $10 a glass. They`ll love ya!

Think about it. I remember when it truely was a town of neighbors that lived like any small town. Yeah, we had people that would come through, but things like the 4th parade was a small town celebration, and places like Lerks [where my dad and grandfather hung out], or Selmas, and even the lumber company, catered to and employed the locals. Then the yuppie movement came, and the money grubbers looking to make their profits by turning the village into a yuppieville trap...with all the price that is paid to do it. Take a good hard look at the village now. Even main street looks more and more like a strip mall every year, with their "artsy-fartsy" crap in the windows, and prices for simple things like a beer and a burger are set to entice the road weary traveler like yourself, to a meal at a "winebar"? LOL...you love it? Why not move? I did, and I moved because of people like you. You`ve got to much time on your hands if driving to Afton was your weekend vacation plan, and if it was just for a day excusion, you really make my point! Yuppies, you are all alike.

Liking to go for a drive with the kids to Selma's for Icecream makes you a yuppie. Get a life hosebag and get enrolled in some Anger Management counsling sessions. What a penishead.

Did you read your own posting by chance? Try your own advice...but I won`t call you a "hosebag", although that is more than likely what you are. You`re the one with the brats. Here, let me give you a crying towel to wipe your tears away.

Whatever dude. It's a local hideout. I'd know. I'm local! Oh and yeah, the place is awesome. Glad we have it.
